Did she just fucking reference The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim intro?

Are you two related? A lot of sick dads today, apparently. My dad does this shit too, TBF, and also does not cover his mouth in any way.

Unsure how Leda didn't do it for you??

I'm not fucking kidding when I say that this is the line of thinking and conversation my brain has that keeps me going.

The "daring today aren't we?" SpongeBob SquarePants meme format where the fish ordering insists on hope in the face of Squidward's insistence on the inevitability of death and losing one's way.

Best-looking plate of food I'll probably ever make because the elegance of the saucing was not planned.

Pork chop with pan sauce next to a few stalks of asparagus on a white plate.

My favorite was the on Cal Raleigh (on defense) challenged that was so low out of the zone they didn't even provide a measurement (see photo) and there was one a few days ago where a player challenged a clear strike and the catcher's head was like "Really?" (I wish I could remember the context).

Interpreted "best story" as "best narrative"...probably had 2-3 games in mind for every spot and just had to give up and pick one. Did my best to not select the same game twice, but OMORI and Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean were hard for me to hold down to two appearances.

Don Draper was right; Ginsberg's Sno Ball pitch wouldn't have sold and would've even caused an uproar, apparently.

Fine, I will do one of these.

Only voted in categories I felt like I knew enough nominees well enough. As much as I loved Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I have difficulties calling it "indie". Same thing with Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades II.

Only stop by this city rarely, but when I do, I have to raid its two great local used bookstores. S/O to @breu.bsky.social for influencing me and putting me in the know on a couple of these authors.

Hit the motherload today...all complete, black label, and mint (except for Lunar 2, as you can see).

Today's haul. I've put about 200 hours into Hyrule Warriors (digital) and 100%ed 13 Sentinels on Switch, but I couldn't pass up the artbook. I also started Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen via PS+, but seeing as how it's leaving the service, I'd like to take my time with it.

Latest book haul. They had a lot of Franzen for cheap. Girl with Curious Hair and Underground Railroad are both 1st/1st. I'm fairly certain The Public Burning is a 1st and I'd never seen the OG cover in person. The Teachings of Don B. also has an introduction written by Thomas Pynchon!

Game pickups last couple days. Already have played and/or own some of these digitally, but I love physical media too much. Been looking for physical Fire Emblem Warriors FOREVER. Nice to have a clean copy.
