Y'all want to see what I've been working on the last few weeks? I started making a con packet for Section 5 and decided to turn it into a full supplement. Travel to the methane marshlands of Titan, to foil Earth's forgotten contingency plan. We will be playtesting at @paxaus.bsky.social

Took a break from running games at Play Con to play @uselrei1500.bsky.social's anti-fascist ship combat game Assault Fleet Centauri. I disabled an aristocrat's frigate and got so distracted making fun of him I took lethal amounts of radiation damage from a different exploding ship. 10/10

to my mind, the core of pbta is not "2d6+stat with mixed successes", it's the system of "when x trigger happens in the fiction, apply y specific mechanic". Codified, genre specific moves are its main innovation. If you think pbta is just 2d6+stat with varied levels of success, you missed the point

With Assault Fleet Centauri I currently have all the ships for a faction listed in order of corvettes, frigates, carriers, cruisers, fighters, shuttles, and auxiliary craft. I've also experimented with listing the main carrier group first... But maybe I could present example taskforces instead?

Got some cool Assault Fleet Centauri news: @alexconnolly.bsky.social recently completed an art piece for the game. Painting is untitled at this stage, but I'm very impressed with Alex's work. This is the first bit of art I've commissioned for the project and I'm really happy with it.
