A 3,500-year-old Egyptian dog had a unique name linked to the underworld god Anubis. The good pupper was named dwȝ.ty, meaning “He-of-the-Underworld.” The name is unusual, no other known dog bears the same name. Even in ancient Egypt, dogs had a place in human life. Rest in peace little buddy. 🐕
