Without fail, every few months I come back to the best robot music ever made, Alive 2007 by Daft Punk.

I hope that when the steam machine releases, it eventually just becomes the benchmark of hardware for PC releases of AAA games. I want some level of standardization.

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

Excited to get back to the road trip but like, I last left off at a system with like 8 life bearing moons across 3 gas giants. Im still 50+ jumps away but the money making opportunities are too great #EliteDangerous

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

I've now discovered the misery of trying to find bacteria on a frozen planet. 56 more jumps to Betelgeuse!

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

FINALLY MY FIRST TRIP MAY BEGIN! BETELGEUSE, HERE I COME! #EliteDangerous

020

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

The end of my shift can't come fast enough. I WANT TO EXPLORE SPACE!!!!

000

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

I need to name my ship something good and original. Every CMDR knows that the ship isnt truely yours until it has a name! So whats a good one for my Diamondback Explorer?🤔

000

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Okay so my pilot career is gonna be something like this. Do a bit of exploring and mapping of the Bubble. Do some odd jobs as the opportunity arises. Get myself some ships that can go real far! Then. Go REALLY FAR!! #EliteDangerous

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Huh, I wonder if it's possible to plot a custom route by manually selecting individual stars. Like perhaps a manual route plotting mode on the map screen that shows distances relative to the selected star, current total distance travelled, stuff like that. #EliteDangerous

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Okay! Time for my first sightseeing expedition! I'm heading for Betelgeuse so I can say I witnessed it with my own sensors before it popped! #EliteDangerous

020

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Okay I think I got a pretty good list of what I want to achieve as a pilot. One of my first goals is to visit famous stars. First on the list is Betelgeuse. I want to see if its still there! No spoilers please! #EliteDangerous

You guys ever think about how creationism and abiogenisis are both true in the pokemon world? Like, mew was the basis for all life on earth as created by Arceus or whatever. Yet deoxys formed naturally and represents how the building blocks of life spontaneously form in space naturally all the time

⭐️ Ursa Minor ⭐️ @ursathestarbear.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

Alright. I think I know what I want from Elite Dangerous. It's what I wanted since I was a kid. I want to explore space. Just for the excitement of discovery. I'm writing a tourism list now.

I wonder if Frontier accepts fan submitted concepts for fleshing out lore or if I should just keep to myself and fansites. I just like the idea of painting a picture of intersteller civilization. #EliteDangerous

I often wonder how communication works in sci-fi settings. I'd assume GalNet transmits its data via some kind of FSD drive that emits FTL data stream pulses that are recieved by Nav Beacons in each colonized star system. #EliteDangerous

I thought collector limpets were pointless since they could only grab one thing. Until I realized they are meant for when you dont have the time to collect something manually. Im no pirate so I never considered such a use case. #EliteDangerous

Elite:Dangerous has such a good vibe. Something about being an independent pilot performing all sorts of odd jobs in a vast galaxy is so cool

Maybe it's just because I've always loved Gerry Anderson, but I've never seen tokugatsu and thought of it as anything other than the coolest fucking thing XD. Like, they're unabashedly presenting the fantasies we had playing with toys as kids. It's imagination made real and that's amazing

I remember how "retro" was "in style" 15 years ago for video games. Back then, a lot of people who grew up on super nintendo and older consoles were making games of their own. But after so many years of it not going away, "retro" has proven to not be just a fad. #retro #gamedev

"Knock your socks off" typically means "to greatly impress" but this is a misconception. Socks are very skittish creatures and will shoot off your feet if startled. "You may want to sit down for this" is a kind warning so you don't fall over due to your socks blasting out from under you.

Okay, gonna move my crafting rants over here, is there some other 1 layer color work technique that isnt Fair Isle? I dont want to deal with the long runs on the back end of my work. I want it to be double sided without being double knit!!!

Since it seems there are a lot of people interested, I'll start posting my knitting on this account instead. This is a big blanket/poncho thing I've been working on in my spare time. Using a modified version of the 10-stitch blanket pattern. #knitting
