This week we're exploring using solids to move liquids and this sponge activity was a big hit with every class. Mopping up water with a sponge and squeezing it into a cup. I wish I could show you their faces, they're all so engaged. #STEM #Autism

I did an Aquafit class today. It's pilates on a floating platform - it's really hard to balance! My whole body was shaking for hours after. I did better than I expected I would. Standing up was so scary!

34 years ago I didn't get to go and see Guns N Roses at Slane Castle. Tonight I saw them at Metlife Stadium. Great gig!!

I told #Eloise I'd take her to the dog park but she wanted to go in the opposite direction. This is why. New game: drink from the fire hydrant without getting sprayed. Excuse the state of the road. They milled it a few weeks ago and haven't come back to resurface it yet.

We are learning about biomes and animal habitats and the last class I had made these. I think they're cool.

5 small Lego Duplo projects. The desert is largely yellow with hills and a spiky plant, the rainforest has a canopy tree, a vine and some colorful flowers, the polar tundra is white with some hills and a snowman face, the forest has a deer and several green trees with brown trunks and the ocean is blue and white on one side and yellow on the other with a cyan and pink 'jellyfish'.

It's graduation day at our school. Most of these kids started in that crazy period after September 2020 when kids alternated days to come to school and were remote the rest of the time. *Grabs tissues. I never get through this ceremony without tears.

I did not see the elephants this week but I did get to see the penguins being fed, many other birds and learned a lot about bees and other pollinators and planted some plants on a green roof.

Mom took the baby pigeons out for a look around this morning. Luckily it's been cooler lately and we haven't needed this air conditioner. It looks like they'll be gone before we do.

Tonight was the annual #NOTS or #NightOf1000Stevies and it was as magical as the first - and yes we got to dance to Edge of Seventeen at the end on the stage in the Battle of the Stevies. The acts were all amazing tonight!

Our poop bag dispenser fell apart so I made a new one. #crochet
