6. Cy_Borg My favorite cyberpunk rpg because it’s so easy to throw down at the table and begin playing. Incredibly simple and feels pretty brutal. I really need to find and try out more prewritten adventures for it some time, tho.

5. Apocalypse Keys I was drawn to this as a Hellboy fan who wanted a game similar to the BPRD comics, but this is soooo much more than that. It really incentivizes specific roleplay moments and character development, and I love this version of the BB mystery system a lot. Also pretty art 🔥

4. Vampire the Masquerade 5th Edition I LOVE VAMPIRE Sometimes it’s very fun to play sexy edgy depressed monsters who hate themselves and everyone around them! The hunger dice system in this edition is also fantastic and has led to some of my favorite rpg moments of all time :) 🦇🩸

3. Dolmenwood This might be my favorite fantasy setting of all time. Perfect blend of whimsy and darkness, plus it’s very weird in all the right places. I absolutely love the layouts, art, and hexcrawl. I really want to do a full campaign of this sometime!

2. Blades in the Dark Running this for the first time right now and it’s AMAZING!! The design is so beautifully elegant and leads to amazing story moments filled with tension and drama. I’m also a huge dishonored fan, so the setting is obviously hitting very close to home for me!

1. Urban Shadows 2e Probably my favorite game ever! The way it handles political intrigue and conflicting motives within your group, as well as the politicking and wars that happen between factions, is soooo good. One of those games that I love running over and over again :)

Discovered Itras By, a surrealist roleplaying game, and I’m lowkey obsessed with it now It looks so fun but I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone to play it with. Even just reading it is so cool tho, the art and writing is amazing :)

Also, plug and play scenes is such a cool idea!! This is one of those books where you can mine it for inspiration even if you don’t want to run the adventure. Plus, you can pick apart individual parts of the campaign to use it in your own games pretty easily. (4)

Got this for $3 at a local comic shop! It’s a World of Darkness LARP magazine from 200. I’ve never even larped before, but it’s so fun to read about the scene from people inside of it. (And as a fan of VtM, there’s lots of fun stuff in here)
