Your creative work, or you absorbing creative work might help others/yourself become more empathetic or less racist or transphobic, etc. but this only fully works when basic needs are met So yes, your work means something, but you must also do aid, support, volunteering, donation etc. to truly help

Thinking out loud, to me rather than a distinct stance, the idea of "pawn stance" is more foundational gaming pragmatism TTRPGs can be art, can make you feel, can hold huge narrative and intent... But they are always games first and if games aren't centered in enjoyment, it's a lost cause

It's a useless measure without the context, this is unfortunately common in hobby spaces where we set an invisible bar without really thinking about what that bar says I think this especially comes into focus if you want your game to be accessible to children

Where we need to do better is just recognizing and stating aloud our "what is entry level" bias and for who Is it entry level for someone who only just barely plays board games? Is it entry level for a child? Is it entry level for someone who's played a few sessions of a popular ttrpg?
