Whimsy is actually so hard to embrace as a perfectionist, because whimsy is, be definition, imperfect. It’s not thought out, it’s not perfected, it’s just off the cuff and playful. And I don’t think we talk about this struggle enough tbh.

As much as I LOVE Halloween, I always forget about Halloween movies. Like I love the decorating & the costumes & whatnot, & I just forget about all the good movies I should be watching. Now Christmas, like a solid 45% of my season is JUST (~5 of the same) Christmas movies (over & over again).

Tbh I kinda love that. I hate when authors go on & on about everyone’s physical attributes, esp in a comparative way. I just decided I’m done with a series where every FC the FMC encountered came with a physical description like “curvier than my own slim figure” or some nonsense. It was egregious.

I do not understand the appeal of haunted houses, cornfields, etc. I do not spend money to be frightened. I have an extremely strong startle response, and if someone jumps out to scare me, my reflex is to scream and punch them in the throat.
