Important question: has a Manitoban band ever covered Louie Louie but changed the lyrics to Louis Riel?

Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

I sent it to my dumb cousin in TO, who is also qualified. He scanned the QR but says he won’t email theuglyposters@outlook.com because the whole experience made him realize he’s beautiful on the inside after all. What a dummy.

You know, it’s kind of nice to be seen and know that someone out there has questions. Will not be following a sketchy QR code, however. Anyone brave enough?

Actually pretty slick visual and sound design for a local market car company ad in 1984.
Red, green, and blue laser lines bounce around the screen on a black field of stars as 4 larger stars appear mid-screen, soon to morph into the word PARK.

The image is of a four panel comic.
In the first panel we see Sarah, the protagonist, next to a stick figure labeled “AI”. The stick figure says, “my outputs look just like yours now.”
The second panel zooms in on Sarah’s face. Above her we see text reading “I think”.
The third panel zooms in closer on Sarah’s face. Text above her reads “you missed”.
The fourth panel shows Sarah drawing happily in a sunlit room. The text above her reads “the point”.

Imagine this but good.
A VERY poorly hand-drawn draft of a passport cover that states “MANITOBA Unofficial Travel Passport + Sticker Book” featuring a questionable looking bison on rollerskates and a jetpack zooming down the Trans Canada highway. Why not?

excited to share this illustration i did for 3 Oceans Puzzle Co.! i don’t do a lot of client work anymore, but who am i to resist puffins and a cute little newfie fishing village? you can get this as a really cool wooden puzzle on their site, and i have prints available too! (links below) #art
a fun colourful and textured illustration of one puffin bringing a beakful of fish to three other puffins on a cliff near a brightly-coloured fishing village on the atlantic ocean. humpback whales breach in the background near an iceberg, and a lighthouse shines through the fog. distant seagulls play among the clouds

AI just can’t compute Winnipeg.
Search Assistant (Duck Duck Go): “The mayor of Winnipeg in 1987 was Stephen Juba, who served from 1957 to 1959 and again from 1960 to 1977. Auto-generated from sources. May be inaccurate.”

The film is full of sight gags and in-jokes that only Winnipeggers can fully appreciate (though the comedy and drama of the film don’t depend on these moments, it’s just an extra layer to experience)

His movie Universal Language is an absurdist pleasure to experience - an awkward love letter to an alternate Winnipeg where the bilingualism is French & Farsi, neighbourhoods are named after the colour of their apartment blocks (beige district, grey district), and Lois Riel is on the currency.

Of the 3 here I’m least happy with Can D Man, because he looks too much like a carbon copy of the original. I’ll have to redo it to introduce some original personality.
