Ooh, these are so fun! The brush you used looks great!

Good luck finding some motivation to draw! Maybe Jughead...?

Having a werewolf kidnap him, tear off his arm, and threaten his family was pretty scary for Ethan. Baptiste saved the day before things got worse, but that didn't exactly alleviate the terror...

Strip no. 133 of the Undeath of Me. Baptiste's ex threatens to decapitate Ethan and go after his family, before Baptiste swoops in and rips out his heart.

Strip no. 134 of the Undeath of Me. Ethan watches in horror as Baptiste decapitates a werewolf (in human form) with his bare hands.

Can definitely relate. I rarely ever visit Instagram anymore, due to how overwhelming it is... :/

A werewolf tore Ethan's arm off once! Baptiste was able to sew it back on for him, thankfully, but hasn't removed the stitches yet, so only time will tell if my cranky, little vampire is stuck with a scar for eternity... 😅

A couple panels from strip no. 137 of the Undeath of Me. A traumatized Ethan is all roughed-up and bloody from his skirmish with a werewolf. Baptiste is even bloodier, after having killed said werewolf. He sews Ethan's arm back on, then exclaims, "There you go! Good as new!"

Ethan, the Unfriendly Ghost! uniquelyholden.carrd.co

A non-canonical comic strip for my webcomic, the Undeath of Me. Baptiste and Ethan, a pair of vampires, have dressed up as ghosts for Halloween!

Ethan, going the more stereotypical route, has draped himself with a polka-dotted bedsheet, complete with eyeholes. The patches he's sewn on are all speckled with blood, since he kept stabbing himself with the needle by accident.

Baptiste's costume is far more extravagant. His aristocratic suit is torn and ragged, and has a reflective sheen. Broken chains dangle from his wrists. He has used contacts and eyeshadow to give his face a more haunting look. Smiling brightly at Ethan, he says, "What do you think of my ghost costume?!"

Salty over how much more impressive Baptiste's costume is, Ethan double-handedly flips him off as well as he can from beneath the bedsheet. Baptiste's smile turns into the saddest of frowns.

Since we're getting into spooky season, a reminder that my completed vampire horror webcomic DANIEL is being slowly uploaded to ComicFury for new readers or people who'd like to re-read a bit at a time. It's only just at the start of chapter 3. Not too far along yet! danielagravetale.the-comic.org

Ethan wants a peaceful life with his family, where he's able to exist as a human, in a house he owns, with zero money worries. Baptiste turning him into a vampire has pretty much killed this dream for him, unfortunately... 🙃

For those of you currently reading the Undeath of Me on Tapas, don't worry! New updates will continue to show up there before the shutdown, even as I move to other platforms. It's just that the earlier I get a start on this, the less stressful things will be for myself, and hopefully all of you!

000

Heather R. Holden @uniquelyholden.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Tapas officially announced its shutdown today. Even though they won't close till March, I plan to branch out to other platforms this month, to give readers plenty of time to follow elsewhere. For more details, and to see which platforms you can already find the Undeath of Me, check out this thread!

Even though Ethan doesn't love Halloween as much as his wife does, he always enjoys taking their daughter trick-or-treating each year!

Panel from strip no. 26 of the Undeath of Me, featuring a close-up of a photo album. One of the photos shows Tess, Ethan's young daughter, dressed as a princess. She holds a pumpkin-shaped bucket in one hand, and a star-topped wand in the other. She boops Ethan on the nose with her wand!

Reggie, 'cause there's gotta be at least one other person out there who loves him as much as he loves himself!

In class, Professor Flutesnoot asks what other important thing didn't exist fifty years ago. Reggie stands up and proudly exclaims, "ME!"

Haven't started posting there yet, but I signed up for Fables the other day, and it seems promising. Something about the way NamiComi is set up confuses me as a reader, so I've been hesitant to explore it as a creator. (That's probably just me being dumb, though... 😅)

I plan to branch out to other free-to-read platforms, as well! However, since the Undeath of Me is already over six years old, past strips will be uploaded at a gradual pace, instead of being dumped there all at once. (Reliving this webcomic from the beginning will be fun, right?! 😅)

Because of Tapas' looming shutdown, here are all the places where you can still read the Undeath of Me! Firstly, there's Webtoon. This platform will likely be the easiest to transition to atm, since it's free-to-read and follows the same update schedule as Tapas! www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/th...
