First time I cooked a big meal for the grandson since the condo damage ordeal. He ate so much sausage, mac & cheese, chicken, corn, blueberries and two huge biscuits that he didn't have room for ice cream. PLUS staff pitched in for cleanup and we have leftovers for tomorrow. It was a Good Day.

Temps dropped WAY down to the low 70s. The dog walking neighbors decked out in heavy coats and hats like they are shell shocked. I am thankful for the relief of the intense heat, but no way ready for coats or socks.

We worked for two hours, grateful to be back at the Foundation after the summer's ordeal. Then, one by one, as if in a choreographed dance, each staff member drifted to the western window, appreciating cooler temps, softened sunlight, moodiness of a Friday with no direction. Hey, get back to work.

I have lived in Florida 9 1/2 years now and must admit I am tired of this extreme heat. We had a couple of days when it lessened last week, but we are maintaining 90 plus degrees every day again. Our weather has been so strange this entire year. Would somebody out there send me a snow picture?

I drove to Destin to the craft store and was so excited that I found six sitting cat buttons that were perfect for the house project. However, grandson informed me that they were DOGS. He laughed and laughed at my mistake, then said, well, he likes dogs, too. The other 8 cat charms were cats!

Grandson and I were talking about food and he said what is that "turkey time" called? I said do you mean Thanksgiving? Yes, he said, because that is when you cook good food and his uncle made smokies with bacon. He was disappointed I didn't cook for him today. Hey, I took him to Golden Corral.

After much research and experimentation, the staff has concluded that I was experiencing dehydration and the effects of the Vitamin D heavy dosage. We made adjustments and feel so much better today. I am grateful that my staff looks after me.

I have a solution for Trumpy's desire to rename places. Why don't we just call every location, city, state, town, river, lake, bump in the road, etc. America. This would eliminate hard feelings over historical changes, preferred local traditions, misspellings, and the need to constantly update maps.

Question for my Bluesky Medical Authorities: I am experiencing unusual dizziness & vertigo and trying to figure out why. This has lasted several days with no other flu / illness stuff. My doctor recently prescribed a large Vitamin D dose, which is the only change I can think of. Is that the cause?
