I'm not a big fan of much of Shyamalan's other work but watching the twist at the end of The Sixth Sense for the first time blew my mind. Not only an unexpected story development but it made you re-evaluate every scene in the movie. And there's The Usual Suspects - another great blindside.

For a guy so overtly alpha, Hegseth sure is scared of a whole bunch of things. Can't even be in the same room as an intelligent, indpendent woman. You can see the existential doubt forming in his eyes. The woman must leave. Only then can he can breathe normally again. Such a delicate flower.

Census – Not Religious? Mark 'No Religion'. @censusnotreligious.bsky.social · 12/06/2026
Do you mark 'Jedi', 'Pastafarian', or similar as a joke at Census time? It's important to mark 'No religion' if you're not really religious. Not being included in the 'No religion' count means non-religious Aussies continue to be under-represented: censusnotreligious.org.au #Census26 #NotReligious
If no religion you have, 'No religion' you should mark.

The Census religion question – ‘What is the person’s religion?’ – assumes every respondent has a religion. This leads to inaccurate responses with results that overstate the number of religious people in Australia. Find out more: censusnotreligious.org.au #Census26 #NotReligious

The tech oligarchies would be happy for 'computing' to be something you buy and use as needed, like electricity, rather than something you own and generate yourself. Like TV, movies and computer games, their preference is to own it themselves and rent it to you. Subscription models everywhere!

The building of datacentres to support growth in AI usage has caused a massive increase in the price of computer memory as it's all snapped up by corporations. The 2x16GB sticks I put in a system in 2023 for $159 now cost $429. Production for 2028 is already being pre-sold. There's no end in sight.
