Just drew a diagram to help me understand some of the complications of a piece of code I'm trying to design (constructing SubReceiverSets from IpcReceiverSets, for anyone who has been following along in my blog). Thank goodness for graphviz - so much neater than my hand-drawn attempt.
Some examples of how subreceivers, with the same or distinct underlying IpcChannels, may be grouped into SubReceiverSets.

I don't know if the following is helpful to partially sighted readers, but I include it anyway.

digraph IpcChannelMultiplexingReceiverSets {
    rankdir=LR;
    center=1;
    nodesep=0.3;
    compound=true;
	node [shape=box][width=1.8][fontname="Courier-Bold"];
	edge [splines=true][fontname="Courier"];

    edge [color=black][style=dotted];
    "MultiReceiverX" -> "SubReceiverA"[label="data"];
    "MultiReceiverX" -> "SubReceiverC"[label="data"];
    "MultiReceiverX" -> "SubReceiverD"[label="data"];
    "IpcReceiverX" -> "MultiReceiverX"[label="data"];

    "MultiReceiverY" -> "SubReceiverB"[label="data"];
    "MultiReceiverY" -> "SubReceiverE"[label="data"];
    "MultiReceiverY" -> "SubReceiverF"[label="data"];
    "MultiReceiverY" -> "SubReceiverG"[label="data"];
    "IpcReceiverY" -> "MultiReceiverY"[label="data"];

    subgraph cluster1 {
        label="SubReceiverSet1";
        "SubReceiverC" [color="gray"][fontcolor="gray"]
        "SubReceiverD" [color="gray"][fontcolor="gray"]
        "SubReceiverE" [color="gray"][fontcolor="gray"]
    }

    subgraph cluster2 {
        label="SubReceiverSet2";
        "SubReceiverF" [color="gray"][fontcolor="gray"]
        "SubReceiverG" [color="gray"][fontcolor="gray"]
    }

    subgraph cluster3 {
        label="IpcReceiverSet";
        "IpcReceiverX";
        "IpcReceiverY";
    }
}

A Very Early History of Algebraic Data Types
Been quiet around here! I’ve been putting almost all of my writing time into Logic for Programmers and my whole brain is book-shaped. Trust me, you do not want to read my 2000-word rant on Sphinx post-build LaTeX customization. But I spent the past week in a historical rabbit hole and had to share what I found. It started with Algebraic [Data] Types are not Scary, Actually. The post covers AlgDTs1 in more detail, but a quick overview is:
