#DevLog 038 If you are going to be jumping around, you have to do it with style! I don't remember games that let you go crazy with hair options. Do you remember any crazy hair in games? #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Woke up today, but the hair’s a little unruly. 😅 Adding some free flowing inverse kinematics to the player character, it is always cool to have your hair moving around while jumping and fighting. #indiegame #pixelart #solodev #gamedev

#DevLog 037 - One day, while walking to the beach, three little dogs followed me all the way there. They stayed around and then followed me all the way back to my house. I sometimes wonder what they think about these little adventures. #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

You might be wondering why there’s a book, mop, plunger, and camera sitting in the middle of the wilderness… 👀 Well, you’ll just have to wait and find out. 🧐🌲 #indiegame #pixelart #solodev #gamedev

#DevLog 036 - Work in Progress: Back flips are good for creating distance between you and your adversaries, but also you can give a kick while creating that distance. #indiegame #pixelart #creature #gamedev

#DevLog 035 - Work in progress. Still playing around with the shapes of these creatures. I am inclined toward smaller, skinny ones, but curious how they would look as beefy guys. Will continue experiments until something pops. #indiegame #pixelart #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

#DevLog 034 - Based these little monkey-like creatures more on lemurs, which are generally smaller. So, I am wondering how they would look like as they grow, or with slight variations 🤔 There are no giant gorilla-like lemurs… are there? #indiegame #pixelart #creature #gamedev

Did you forget to take a shower? Why do they keep running away? #DevLog 033 - Working on different behaviours for these jumpy little guys. They like to keep their distance, so it might be hard to get a hand on them if they keep running and jumping away. #indiegame #BuildInPublic #pixelart #gamedev

#DevLog 032 - Cool thing about procedural animation is that I can just change a number, and it dynamically changes the animation, like the length of a jump. #indiegame #BuildInPublic #pixelart #ScreenshotSaturday

Little Update: Bug Fixed! Early tester noted that, upon defeat, sometimes the character’s body would ignore gravity and fly straight upwards into the air instead of landing on the ground. Though this one looked rather funny 😅 #indiegames #BuildInPublic #pixelart #gaming

DevLog 030 - Players impact the creatures of this world in positive or negative ways. One idea I have for friendlier gameplay is that players can feed them. Feeding is the most intuitive, isn't it? Simplest way to earn trust? What do you think? #indiegames #BuildInPublic #pixelart

Adding blocking, if executed at the right time, it can deplete creature's stamina without hurting them. This makes them more tired over time and less hostile. Another month ends, the more I work, the more work I think is pending 😭 Link the bio for unDefense! #indiegames #BuildInPublic #pixelart

A rainy night on top of the trees 🌲🌧️⚡ Is this a good spot to get a full view of the lingering dangers in the woods? I suppose as long as whatever's down there can't climb up. 👀 Would you feel safe up here, or paranoid? #screenshotsaturday #pixelart #gamedev #indiegames

Screenshot: Pixel-art scene showing a purple player character standing on a branch of a tree with green foliage. The environment is dark, with a spotlight-like circular area illuminating the character and surrounding leaves. Rain streaks fall through the scene, and the background fades into deep forest shadows.

DevLog 022 – A work-in-progress! Testing survival instincts on our newest #creature They scramble, hop, and scatter the second you get close, making them difficult to hit in the dark. Turns out, hitting a target that wants to live is a lot trickier! #gamedev #pixelart #indiegame #GameDesign

DevLog 021 - An earlier look of my #creature WIP. Deer-like who hop around or kick with their back legs. I've never fought a deer or horse-like creature in a game, so I think it'd be a cool idea. Imagine the attacks they could do once they have a Head?! #indiedev #pixelart #indiegame #gaming
