Also, I didn’t see them in the right order. The first episodes I saw were The Naked Now and *shudder* Code of Honor. I didn’t get to see Encounter at Farpoint until a few rentals later!

They’re not the best, but I have some very fond memories of those early episodes. The UK didn’t get the series on terrestrial TV (BBC 2) until 1990, so the only way to see them was by renting the VHS tapes from the local video store. Happy days…

It’s a lot busier today, certainly. Much more of a tourist trap. But otherwise it’s exactly the same! Try looking at footage from the 60s or 70s to see how different it was then!

I’m very fond of S. Z. Sakall, partly for Casablanca (obviously) but mainly for his great turn as Mr Schmidt in 1945’s Wonder Man, alongside Danny Kaye.

CEX sell the DVD for £3.50. I’ve had it in my favourites list there for a while but not checked it in ages. Just had a look and amazingly, they have it in stock in a store I can get to quite easily!

Haha, that’s awesome! I’ve got this on my list to see, but it’s surprisingly hard to get hold of. I remember when I watched “Ben” thinking “Wait, this is the Michael Jackson song! Michael Jackson sang a song about a rat?!”

Amusing that Sega changed the roster to male characters for the western release. They did the same with “The Ninja” which was “Ninja Princess” in Japan.
