I'm just experimenting with a camera I got a decade ago that I barely used and have recently found during a clean up, kind of impressed with the shot quality on an otherwise cheap camera.

The patterns here are neurological rather than cultural, or at least that's the more parsimonious explanation. The intensity of focus, the difficulty with ambiguity, the literal relationship to what people say versus what they mean — these are features of a particular kind of mind, not a particular national character.
There's a reason Wittgenstein spent years trying to establish what language actually means when it appears to mean something. There's a reason the Tractatus ends with "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent." Some problems aren't solved — they're dissolved when you finally understand what was confusing you.
The capacity for systematic thought is not a disorder. The difficulty is that the world is not, in fact, systematic, and other people's behaviour is governed by rules that are never written down and shift without announcement.
