I loved All Under Control by @mrjimmydafloof.bsky.social, but also I wanted a happy ish ending, at least to make art of. So here, enjoy Tomas and Diego dancing!! They may not be free, but they're happy to be these puppets, I think. #AllUnderControlVN #FurryVNs #FurryArt #FurryVisualNovels

A wolf (on the left, Tomas) and a bear (on the right, Diego), both in fancy attire, dance in a spotlight. Above them are two marionette control bars, with strings trailing to each of their limbs and their heads. The dancers are looking at each other with what appear to be quiet smiles. Tomas is knelt halfway down, with his right leg trailing behind him to his left, and Diego is holding his right hand above their heads. Text under them reads ALL UNDER CONTROL. The edges of the piece are darker, with some jagged formations swooping down, somewhat reminiscent of curtains on a stage.

This is a really good way of looking at art -- "The conversational partner changed" is SUCH a good way of phrasing how I personally see art/writing/music/etc. Original post: www.tumblr.com/shinesurge/7...

A Tumblr post from user shinesurge with the text:

Honestly I can tell you finding out art was made by AI really does immediately, legitimately sour it for me, like people will trot this out as a Gotcha for anti-AI people but it's just making it clear they don't consider art to be the conversation that it is lol. It's similar to the way Harry Potter immediately soured for me because engaging with it while knowing the kind of heart Rowling is writing from changes the way the work feels; there isn't any moralizing or whatever that I have to do, it's easy to drop it because it's rotted in my hands.

"Oh but you LIKED this song before, nothing changed!" The conversational partner did. A very large portion of what is interesting to me about art is thinking of why the creator chose that instrumentation, or what made them want to make the thing in the first place. Finding out I've been talking to a wall completely removes an entire third of the force that art is to me, and I can't argue that anything about art or its consumption is Objectively Correct but I can argue it's fucking boring lmao

oh damn, i missed national pencil day! that's what i use most of the time, even if i don't post most of it

A chitinous bug monster, was based very loosely on chasmfiends from stormlight

practice with drawing perspective and general shapes. a tree fort with sparse leaves in the foreground

lighting shading practice of my hand, very closeup

a very messy centaur without a face, flexing and with their human torso turned halfway around. lots of ovals from defining the shapes are still present

sketches today much more representative of my usual quality than my backlog was lol

wide view of sketches, described further on in more detail

closeup of a little lizrman goin' like "woo!!! surprise!"

closeup of a lizard/snake/wingless dragon wrapped around the top of a pencil, supporting its weight on the eraser mostly

closeup of my attempt at a frontal dragon face view. i don't think it went great, but i don't hate it either. also uses hatching shading, which i don't usually use

why not? enjoy a foggy playground from a few months ago #art #ArtTrain

a foggy playground at night drawn in pencil. the foreground and objects are dark, and the lampposts make the air/fog look bright, outlining objects in an almost eerie way. from left to right, there's a swing set, a basketball hoop, a climbing dome, a lamppost, a tree, and a playground structure including a small climbing wall and a slide. a tennis court fence runs all across the back of the scene. The scene is drawn on a piece of printer paper, and photographed against a speckled counter.

"You wish your friends hadn't died, mortal? I can make it as though they never did. All you need do is pledge yourself to me" My friend's dnd character was a warlock with a Fathomless patron. This was my take on their bargain being struck on the seabed piece i did for drawtober 2022

The piece is drawn entirely using horizontal pencil lines. There's a small humanoid silhouette of negative space standing. It is in facing an enormous serpentine entity, and their posture implies they're asking it for something. The entity is formed of bone, primarily a skull and spine, though some ribs are also near the skull. This entity is also formed mostly of negative space, the area around it much more densely filled in. There is a skull of an ambiguous creature to the humanoid's left, and a derelict half-shipwreck to their right. Under the drawing is the text "Day 12: Forget"

This piece took a while to draw, but i'm still very proud of it. this scene reached into my chest and squeezed my heart, and i don't think it's let go yet. late 2023 #outerwildsspoilers #outerwilds #fanart

Esker, Feldspar, Solanum, Gabbro, Riebeck, and Chert sitting around a campfire under the open night sky. Rendered in pencil, with a moon visible above. Outer Wilds, stylized like the title screen, is written below.

local kobold wants to adopt a pack of dire wolves

pencil and paper drawing. A kobold stands in front of six wolves. The wolves are settling down against one wall of a room, exploring a little bit, and generally look comfortable but a little wary. The kobold is asking "Can we keep them Lucia?"

I wanted to make a collage of several of my dnd characters for pride in 2023, so here's that. Karzh and his (as yet unnamed) bf are sitting on the railing, Finn is waving the flag, and Riit is stealing the cherry from a fey's ice cream. We'll see how that goes for him

Five characters celebrating pride on a bridge or pier. From left to right, a human and a scaly who are cuddling on the railing; a man wearing denim and holding a rainbow flag behind him; a blue kobold stealing the cherry from a fox-tailed guy's ice-cream cone. Fox-tailed guy is also wearing a cowboy hat
