i hate to be so rude on it bc at the end of the day it's supposed to be lightweight and snappy! i actually really like the drawing part of using the program, it's beautifully put together. but the editing and shortcuts...need a bit of work lol

000

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

i'm gonna write the most sternly written letter to the devs why are the most basic concepts of any drawing program locked behind the most cumbersome methods

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

so learning more, i have to import all my layers into an entirely new canvas bc for some reason my canvas settings weren't on the default??? so my colors were off. the issue is actually getting this shit imported like it couldn't just be a copy paste situation i gotta drag and drop

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

it's fun tho, I like the brushes so your girl is trecking on

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

i have used free programs made by single developers that are less cumbersome holy fuck

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

why do i have to use two fingers to move the canvas around and why is there no option to change it why do i have to Cha Cha slide to the right to select multiple layers to move them around and why on earth is moving the layers around such a fucking project in of itself LMAO

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

i'm a clip user for the better part of the last decade, and while i enjoy it, sometimes it gets boring to use procreate feel like i'm having a lobotomy trying to find the symmetry tool

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

trying to use procreate makes me so unreasonably furious sometimes like i don't think i've ever struggled to do basic actions in an art program like i do this one i feel like i'm fist fighting this program just to figure out why my colors picked from my reference looks so desaturated???

Sonic and Shadow for Sonadowtober day 10: Tattoo. They are sitting in a room with cold lighting coming in from a window behind them. Sonic leans close to Shadow with a curious expression, while Shadow holds up a hand to show Sonic a tattoo inside his ear that reads "01".
The tattoo is intended to be his project number but I don't know enough Shadow lore to know what number they would have given him.

having voice acting is gonna genuinely throw me tf off, idk how i feel about it

101

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

overall, kinda mixed on the visuals bc the trailer does add a lot to a more favorable impression. like i said, i think for me, it's a learning curve that i can grow to enjoy. at the very least, it looks incredibly faithful to the OG. adult link also looks way better IMO lol

101

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

i feel like this is the literal opposite of the early 2000's reactions to wind waker vs twilight princess LMAO

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

i do rly enjoy his knitted clothes they're actually rly cute

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

i feel it's a learning curve that i'll grow fond of later but... yeesh initial visual impression isn't rly great for me tbh

200

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

like i think it's not necessarily the "nintendo hire this man unreal engine aesthetic" it's more of how the characters look like facially. i can't rly explain why i find them so weird to look at.

100

maple🎉 @ukulele-mixtape.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

LRP omg i totally see the vision but it doesn't help that i visually cringed the second the gameplay started idk if i mess w the visual aesthetic they chose
