Wild plum jam being made. Also contains (wild) apple, wild blackberries, about 3 gooseberries.
Picture of various red fruit stewing in a large jam pan. You can see some of the wild plums and bits of apple, and a wooden spoon.

Has been interesting seeing all these posts about 'moms', when we had our Mothering Sunday weeks ago. Seems typical, that the Americans are often late to the party! 🥳

A view from the back of the church of a group of people all crowded at the front of the church, 21 in total facing the two ministers (one almost hidden from view). The group is of mixed ages and ethnic and colour backgrounds, including Romanian, African and English. Some of the congregation can be seen in the foreground.Another view from the back of the church, with various people seated in the foreground and to the left. At the front, facing the congregation, to the right are four people of black heritage who will be baptised (by sprinkling, according to the normal tradition of our church). The (male) minister is to the left, with another minister (female) seated to his left (our right), and is reading from a folder in his hands.Another view (yet again from the back of the church), showing the 4 baptism candidates. Also in the foreground are the backs of the heads of congregation members, of Iranian, Zimbabwean, Romanian and British extraction.

The day before the anniversary of my natality (and a significant one), I joined my uke group at an old peoples' home, entertaining the really-oldies:
Group of people in a care home, playing ukes. Several ukes visible, and music stands, some players seated, some standing. I am stood far-right at the back, playing a sopranino (VERY SMALL) uke.
