On this day 90 years ago, the Jarrow Marchers set off for London. Stopping the first night at Chester-le-Street in County Durham. Here's an actual photo from the day, combined with the front street as it was c 2018. My grandfather is the one on crutches on the LHS having lost his leg in WWI.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment that Brexit has not been fully exploited for all of the fantastic opportunities it has afforded us, I remain incredibly grateful that we now have the freedom to make our own sovereign decisions. The Labour Government must capitalise on the opportunity to take back control of our borders and waters and utilise our newfound freedom to regulate and legislate in a way that works for businesses across the UK. This is what I have been advocating for on behalf of my constituents here, and I shall continue to oppose any further attempts by the Labour Government to undo Brexit.

Thank you for your letter of 11 June addressed to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster,
the Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP, on behalf of your constituent, regarding concerns about the use
of cryptocurrency for political donations and the need to maintain transparency and
accountability in our democratic processes. Your correspondence has been passed to the
Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and I am replying as the Minister
responsible for this policy area.
The rules around political donations must be abided by regardless of the type of donation
made, which includes donations made using cryptocurrency.
Political donations can only be accepted from permissible sources, and the recipients of
donations must make an honest assessment of the value of the donation at the time they
receive it. The Electoral Commission provides guidance on donations, including for non-
standard donations such as those made in cryptocurrencies.
Maintaining robust regulation of political finance is essential for preserving public confidence
in our electoral system. While the benefits of emerging financial technologies like
cryptocurrency are acknowledged, it is also important to recognise the associated risks -
particularly the potential for anonymity to obscure the source of donations and facilitate foreign
interference. To that end, it remains a criminal offence to accept or facilitate donations from
impermissible foreign entities, including when digital assets are used to mask origin.
In line with our commitment to protect the integrity of UK elections, the Government is actively
reviewing and strengthening rules around political finance and digital donations, in accordance
with our wider pledge to defend the democratic process.…

While AI has a place, it is unnecessary for what feels like almost every other post to be accompanied by the generic ChatGPT ‘AI slop’ generative image.
If you genuinely need a graphic for your business or event, please pay a local graphic designer to produce something for and unique to you.
If you don’t, a simple photo or something knocked up in MS Word is adequate to brighten up your post.
Could local designers please tag their business page / website under this post to allow potential customers to find you.
Sorry, for those who may disagree with this but the negative impact of AI on those working in the creative industries must be reduced where possible. This may seem silly to some but for those who make their living in these industries it is an existential threat.
Similarly the vast quantities of energy required to generate these mediocre images would be better used elsewhere.

I've no idea but it reminded me of this pic of a small wasp last year which landed on a plate wit a small piece of bacon on. It played wit it for a few seconds before dragging it to the side of the plate and flying off with it!
