Call for Papers for the Biennial Conference of the Society for Renaissance Studies which will be held in London from 30 June to 3 July 2027. Abstracts from researchers of all career stages (including independent scholars and graudate students) are invited for a panel on 'The Indian Mediterranean'. The panel explores both the presence of people from India in the early modern Mediterranean (1400-1700) as well as the use of the descriptor 'Indian' or 'from the Indies' when describing migrant, displaced, and captive people. If you are interested in applying, please send us a 200-word abstract, a provisional title, and a 100-word bio by 10 September 2026.
