Absolutely loved Rebeca’s paper on Fitzherbert’s Book of Husbandry as a devotional guidance book for the gentry. I have grown very found of it myself throughout my own research into DIY literature in Tudor England. Looking forward to next month’s talk @memrn.bsky.social

What’s this!? Another teaser!?!?! 👀 Over at MEMRN HQ, we’re getting ready to share a very exciting event announcement with you! But before we share the big reveal on Friday, we want to know what you think it's going to be! 🤔 Take your guess at our event theme and comment your ideas below! 👇
At the top of the image we see a window into a heavenly scene. Marble arches shimmer amongst pastel coloured clouds and golden light floods through the towering spires. Below, a rich green forest scene is punctuated by a portal into another world, with the mountains beyond the portal faintly visible. To the edge of the image, a dragon rises from a purple wisp of smoke. At the foot of the image, we are confronted with the flames of a hellish landscape, over which looms a terrifying demon figure in silhouette.
