This is me in "The Way through the Woods", one of the last Inspector Morse stories... like many Oxford students, I did a bit of extras work.

Iranian monarchists are the worst people. A leading Pahlavi advisor is now calling for Trump to use #nuclearweapons on Iran (which many Iranians are already afraid he or Netanyahu is going to do)... I think we are currently closer the nightmare of annihilation that at any time since the 1980s.

There are lots of links in the #EpsteinFiles, but connections aren't necessarily causes. We're seeing conspiracy theory happening live with Epstein meeting moot linked to 4chan creating the /pol board, being used to "explain" the rise of far-right populism and Trump, as if this was all planned.

What do when the biggest fossil fuel companies go against the United Nations, the people of this planet, and every bit of good science we have, and decide that destroying the climate is good, actually? What to do...?

BP has dropped its ambitious 2030 plan to reduce its oil and gas production by 40% and shift to renewables, three sources told Reuters. The company made the commitment in 2020, and had already watered it down last year. Now it has reportedly abandoned the plan entirely and will focus on new investments to increase oil and gas output. Other oil giants including Shell have also walked back their energy transition goals.
