The Black Arrow/360 Shooting Star Press/Gainer full used to be one of Ospreay’s finishers in 2016 in Progress and Rev Pro. Ricochet has never done that move. It’s a standing gainer full with no kick to momentum. It’s a parkour move. Stop hating because Ospreay is one of few wrestlers who can do it.

What I love about this day is that there are people sharing matches of PAC outside of WWE and AEW. You see people recognizing the man’s commitment to perfection. PAC was a different breed of wrestler.

So I rewatched the KZY vs PAC match with the additional Dragongate commentary and one of the commentators mentioned discourse about the finish where PAC did a second rope stiff piledriver and then went up to the top rope and did the Black Arrow. Twitter complained the piledriver should’ve finished.

There are a few wrestlers who can do the Black Arrow/Gainer Full in AEW. Ospreay won’t because he has a justified fear of Shooting Star Presses in general. Mike Bailey could. Ricochet has never really been a spin guy but I’ve seen him do a cork so he could do it.

Part of my guilt regarding PAC feels like the style I like in watching wrestling is hurting these men and women, and that part of my brain just won’t shut up no matter how much I know that’s nonsense. PAC was quintessential in how I view in-ring work. And there are people ready to pick at the scabs.

The worst match of the night so far was Andrade vs PAC. And that goes for anyone who thinks Andrade can carry an AEW PPV level Main Event match. Ospreay is better. Omega is better. MJF is better. Hangman is better. Bandido is better. There are 20 guys in this company that are better suited.
