Denmark’s military will tonight unveil a revised account of the 2025 Borris drone incident, where soldiers may have fired at a passenger jet. The rewrite follows our reporting, which exposed flaws in the timeline of the military’s original self-clearing report. Content of new report is unknown atm.

Well it past 7pm in Denmark, so it appears the Danish have missed another deadline to come clean about the suspected shooting at a passenger plane mistaken for a drone. They're now heading towards missing as many deadlines as the number of magazines they emptied into the sky!

This was a point I've tried to make to journalists in the past, it's fallen on deaf ears, the Restricted Area (Temporary) RA(T) used by police drone teams can be used specifically to curtail media coverage, that's what has happened here. So the Sky & BBC lost their helicopter footage...

I didn't get a reply from Luxembourg Police, however their language has changed, saying something I often say, you generally hear a drone first at night so the police are now asking people not to report lights in the sky UNLESS they can hear it's a drone.

I found out something funny recently, I've always said seriously but tongue-in-cheek that water would make for a safe counter-drone effector. An expert in the drone domain patented a water based effector, ideal for prisons, but funding to make it a reality was denied.

The appeal case by the DfT to try & stop the Gatwick 2018 lessons learned document going public hasn't had a tribunal hearing date set yet, but it will do soon, potentially it'll be in time for December & the Gatwick drone anniversary. The arguments are over 400 pages!

Denmark has a real problem (like almost every EU country) about simply being honest about drone misidentification. Danish police have blagged their citizens with NCND while being honest with their Irish counterparts, for some reason the public is never deemed worthy of honesty.

I don't post about it much, but I've spent time using local AI, I wish journalists would give it a go, it works well & has no cost other than the GPU. The fact Thomson Reuters have entered this domain underlines that. At the moment there's enough ignorance that fear is being spread.

Reuters has a reputation it really ought to protect, but it has done a report about a drone at night (which is almost certainly a mistake) over Brussels and refers to sightings in 2025 failing to note a heli was behind those. Why can't journalists even Google?

Another photo of the Leipzig drone looks to have leaked. Looking at it, the authorities must have removed a few parts when they flipped the drone over to photo. If this photo leaked then Germany must hold the accolade for most easily bribed officers. 😆😛 Suspects also named!

This made me laugh, it's a story with some insights into Ireland's counter-drone preparedness, but the authorities have inadvertently let slip that Denmark's drone sightings for the EU Presidency were all innocent/false. We all suspected that, but Denmark hasn't exactly been transparent.

I have had a polite email from an Irish journalist who has taken on board the possibility the pilot has made a mistake, also acknowledging false sightings have happened in the EU. I don't foresee elaboration on the story to calm matters but a nice exchange is good regardless.

Adding the position of the sun to the ADS-B data suggests EI495/EIN49D appeared as a black silhouette as the sun was behind the plane as it was observed, this underlines the likelihood it's the infamous Irish black drone. www.suncalc.org#/53.2,-6.11,... As always, verification is welcome.
