Adam clearly screwed up the call to end the race. The excitement played into it, obviously, but I don’t think the remote broadcast helps. If the guys were actually *at* Las Vegas, he probably wouldn’t have called it a vastly different race track.

The more and more I think about it, Hocevar isn’t good for the sport. He has no racecraft and refuses to apologize when he causes problems and his fanbase loves it. It feels like a dumbing down of the sport because his fans see it as entertaining and enjoy the memes he creates.

I don’t like either Sawalich or Day. 18 driver is just awful. Two years in JGR equipment and he hasn’t made the chase once. Day has improved a lot but he makes a lot of silly mistakes, and i don’t foresee his Cup starts going well next year. He is not ready for that series whatsoever.

No surprise that Craftsman is leaving. The Truck Series can’t seem to keep entitlement sponsors in place, and FOX’s horrible TV coverage is definitely a big part of why.

I feel like I’m in the minority of people who liked both the Clash at the Coliseum and the street course in Chicago. Both those events brought NASCAR to people who wouldn’t normally see it, and frankly, it just looked cool too. NASCAR needs the cool factor to appeal to people.
