A friend has started writing a soriku fanfic and I love it so much! This is a scene from it I immediately knew I just had to draw when I read it! I'll post the link to the fic in the replies for anyone curious! #kingdomhearts #soriku

LRP: Wonder if I can use the last license I bought at a heavy discount to upgrade? 🤔 Though in fairness, I don’t think I have even *activated* it… a photo editing workflow diesn’t work for CSP, I don’t think.

Grabbed ElevenReader to try out text-to-speech. I used to be weird about people listening instead of reading my stuff, but honestly? If they're enjoying my work, that's all that matters.

It’s odd, as the Itachi books were the primary source for my post about him — fueled by rage and wanting to get something off my chest. I hope that the eventual Sasuke post doesn’t have a similar genesis… P.S. It’s technically Sasuke Shinden, but I understand that refers to the Boruto-era book.

Tyson @tyson.chemicalsora.moe · 08/10/2026

Going over the third Itachi Shinden novel, which focuses on Sasuke, I recall reading how all three books were adapted in Shippuden. I should freshen up on those once I’m done. Not writing about Sasuke any time soon, but rather allowing myself to enjoy media with no underlying motive.

I’m particularly sensitive to this as I tap into both a Twitter and a Discord archive, both offline, for my next piece. And their utility doesn’t stop there, as I can think of at least two more posts that involve heavy digging into those as well…

In light of Yet Another Discord Contractor Fuck Up, it’s harrowing how much of our online lives we trust to a corporation who doesn’t care about any of it. If you do leave the service, a reminder: Discord isn’t an archive. The castle is made out of sand. ascii.textfiles.com/archives/5509

Image looks a bit washed on my tablet. Went a little too crazy on the exposure. But it looks okay on my phone? Thing with privacy screens is how it darkens the whole screen, even when you look at it…

If I understood this wrong, by all means — tell me. I’m human, I’m not perfect nor do I pretend to be. I’d like to think that I’m reasonable to a degree.

There are things which no amount of nuance justifies. There are things that we must acknowledge the complexity of we are to have a serious conversation on the matter. Social media has done lasting damage to our ability to communicate with others, and this is but another example of a harmful meme.

Tyson @tyson.chemicalsora.moe · 07/10/2026

I keep seeing this image around as of late. Honestly, I'm a bit confused by it. Who is this actually making fun of: the people oversimplifying things, or the opposite? The language of the internet is meme-based, and humor the most effective tool to convey a message. I can see this co-opted.

Sorry for the repost 😭 Artist doesn’t have an account here (or on X, curiously), and the image’s part of an R18 set. If you have a Pixiv account, you can see the set here: www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/...

New phone wallpaper. Took an illustration of Itachi I found some time ago on Pixiv and made it look like he’s coming back from work, tired as hell. Or at least that was the idea. Spent a good hour on it, I couldn’t get the mood quite right in the early stages. The original picture is on the right.

advice from experience: don't create expecting perfection or you'll quit before you even try. creation is a journey, and it ends when you give up. don't, or you'll miss out on the growth you achieve with each piece you produce. don't set yourself up to be let down. every effort matters.

Be self-indulgent with your art. Just do it. Make that thing you think is too cringe to make. Whether people love it, or never even see it, just make it. Make what YOU want to make.

Like... tell me you've never done fan art without telling me you've never done fan art. I try to resist the cynic in me that insists only those who have done art should be allowed to critique art... but man, dumbasses on X make it TOUGH to hold onto that posture.

Saw a commenter getting roasted on a Sasuke fanart in a funny way. Sasuke's wearing his Orochimaru era outfit with his upper robe (?) undone. He's looking at the sword on his hand, eyes slightly closed. Commenter took issue with Sasuke looking too buff. "Well yeah, that's why it's called fanart."

… but I still dabble in PS, Pixelmator, Vegas, and the like. Photo editing is something I particularly enjoy as it brings me back to the days when I got good enough to make forum signatures. Jack of all trades, master of none, sure — but if I don’t know what I like and/or want, what am I to do…?

Tyson @tyson.chemicalsora.moe · 06/10/2026

I think you’re right. Just as I’m stubborn about not wanting to be pigeonholed into one thing, what if there was someone during my formative years that matched it in earnest towards the direction I didn’t want to go down? Sure, right now my ‘main’ beat is writing, and it’s about 80% of what I do…
