yeah it pretty explicitly accused people of lying (and about those telling the truth: “if you care to live in a silo, rent is free.”) meanwhile the article you linked above carefully unpacked how many recent chart monsters were also huge cultural phenomena and still reached non-pop-radio-listeners
With incessant news coverage alongside chart and playlist presence, it’s pretty difficult to still claim total ignorance on this one. Perhaps there is a deeper reason why people say they haven’t heard the song and feel the need to make it known: cultural cachet.

Mr. McKinsey was a transgender man and accused his wife, Candice Jang, and his in-laws of abusing him because of his identity, according to his filing for a restraining order in December 2025. He said his mother-in-law called him and one of his sons a “pervert” and a “monster” after the boy tried on dresses, and he accused his father-in-law of punching him in the chest while he was recovering from double mastectomy surgery in 2010.

Regarding the lowball offer situation. It accepted an offer of $600 and sent out my address to a buyer to come collect the item after I strictly set a minimum of $700 with Muse. The Meta team informed me this was an error on their end which caused a display issue removing the '7' from the output to the buyer. And with it stating "Sounds good, 00 it is!" after the buyer asked for $600 it made it look to the buyer like his offer was accepted. 3/4

Manchester City have been found guilty on almost all of the charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations.

The sanctions have not been decided, with all possibilities remaining on the table, and City are expected to appeal.

City have been found guilty on all but one of the 115 charges, according to sources briefed on the matter who spoke anonymously as they were not authorised to do so publicly.

a) my original post started with "idk the stats," because i obviously was just watching the game and not trying to chart his snaps b) per nfl pro, he had the lowest pressure rate of any rams defender with six or more pass-rush snaps. so he might have been winning reps but still had little impact
A screenshot of NFL Pro, showing that in Week 2 versus the New York Giants, Aaron Donald's 5.6 percent pressure rate on 18 pass-rush snaps was the worst among eight Los Angeles Rams defenders who had either at least six pass-rush reps or at least one pressure.

from my column yesterday at @prideofdetroit.bsky.social: this is a ferociously tough spot for detroit, and while they can win it’s an extremely easy L to take in september
One might think this all won’t matter much if Allen can simply complete 12-yard passes whenever he wants to, and if that’s true it won’t. But just like the Bills’ game against the Lions in 2024, Sunday’s Buffalo/Houston battle came down to one possession and five or six points. If Goff and the Lions offense can control the ball and extend and finish drives nearly as well as Allen does by himself, the defense may only need one more stop or turnover than the Bills get to win the game. If they can make the Bills entirely one-dimensional, that might be just a little bit easier than it seems.

Of course, the Lions could also walk into the buzzsaw that is the Bills’ fan base opening their brand-new stadium at home, surrender a 50-burger, and write it off knowing they’re past the only real non-divisional challenge on their schedule, and the two safeties their defense is built around are one week closer to returning.

over at @prideofdetroit.bsky.social this morning, subscribers got to read my elegy to the pro bowl, with a funny little lions-y twist:
And across the 2010s—a decade of the game being moved around in space and time, changing formats and loud complaints about the quality of play (and players)—Detroit had a lot more stars, but little more recognition. Calvin Johnson (six), Ndamukong Suh (four), and Darius Slay (three) accounted for 13 of the Lions’ 22 Pro Bowl berths last decade. Long snapper Don Muhlbach (two) got more nods than quarterback Matthew Stafford (one), which feels especially ludicrous now that everyone agrees Stafford’s a future Hall of Famer.

Eagle-eyed readers already where I’m going with this: In the last four seasons, the Lions have had more Pro Bowl nominations (26) than in all of the 1980s (17), 2000s (10), or 2010s (22).

They just never got to play in an actual Pro Bowl.

Evanston resident groups have tussled with Northwestern University since the first announcement of the Ryan Field renovations. A 150 year old Charter Exemption allows Northwestern to be free from paying property taxes in Evanston. These exemptions were outlawed in the 1870 Illinois constitution, but remaining exemptions were grandfathered in. Residents have allowed for the usual collegiate matches, but any programming by for-profit entities, whether it’s summer concerts, or a professional sports team is fought, tooth and nail. The Most Livable City Association continues to seek avenues to appeal the 2023 decision to allow commercial concerts.

Research is creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge.[1] It involves the collection, organization, and analysis of evidence to increase understanding of a topic, characterized by a particular attentiveness to controlling sources of bias and error. These activities are characterized by accounting and controlling for biases. A research project may be an expansion of past work in the field. To test the validity of instruments, procedures, or experiments, research may replicate elements of prior projects or the project as a whole.

yeah that was the problem. kamala should have gone anti-trans, that definitely would have won over a decisive 1 percent of voters and absolutely not lost 20-30 percent in the process
The effect of this mobilization on the left is hard to measure, but The Nation was quick to insist that the Biden administration’s Gaza policy likely cost the party Michigan, because many Arabs and Muslims swung toward Trump. The article did not seriously consider whether culture politics, such as Kamala Harris’s support for transgender rights, influenced socially conservative Arab and Muslim voters, even though the city of Dearborn has long been a locus of anti-gay grassroots politics in the state.

i can’t believe how stupidly this is written. “It will be a flying car with SpaceX-developed technology,” just like elon said—but actually no, it will be a regular car, but they strapped rockets to one of them and then turned it into a drone because it’s literally impossible for humans to operate

• Tesla is preparing to showcase the second-gen Roadster as early as this month, per a new report.
• It will be a flying car with SpaceX-developed technology.
• The demo vehicle will be remotely operated due to the noise and force of the SpaceX thrusters. The Roadster will reportedly be remotely operated during the demonstration because of the noise and force generated by the SpaceX thrusters. Tesla is also expected to show two versions of the car: a standard Roadster and a limited-edition model equipped with the SpaceX technology. The limited-edition model, however, reportedly won't be street legal and could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions.
