ALL these political parties scapegoat migrants & foreign students when we know the biggest problems are wealthy non-tax/paying multi-homeowners, & neo-con policies that stopped building social housing & sold off older social housing stocks to investors. Try going to a hospital… without OS workers.

I’m still amazed the government gives the Catholic Church money to provide health and education services. Colossal conflict of interest.

I guess that’s why major parties have ministers. Can’t be across everything. But I see your point. I’m wondering if there are many independents that can answer a broad range of questions intelligently? Is Pocock a standout in this respect?

Best get these little, underformed units of economic productivity to align with corporate kpi’s. Otherwise they may impact profit margins. Don’t families get what is important here?

“The Albanese government is pouring millions of dollars into the idea. Building industry groups, think tanks, and major banks support it. And Liberal senator Andrew Bragg, the shadow minister for housing, loudly supports the idea.” Can’t see the details for the forest of red flags.

I don’t fully understand the arguments from all angles. I’m stuck at will mass AI adoption improve life for people? Fewer work hours? More fulfilling lives? Or will it simply add another cog in our frantic Rube Goldberg rat race existence? Will not adopting make it even worse?

I remember when an unelected body or individual having direct advisory access to governance on behalf of a specific group was ‘divisive’ and ‘counterproductive’. The nation even got to vote on it.
