My job has an old codebase that uses Playwright for testing. I went to read the documentation and frankly I don’t recognize my profession any more.
Screenshot: playwright-cli vs Playwright MCP

playwright-cli is best for coding agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) that favor token-efficient, skill-based workflows. CLI commands avoid loading large tool schemas and verbose accessibility trees into the model context.
MCP is best for specialized agentic loops that benefit from persistent state and iterative reasoning over page structure, such as exploratory automation or long-running autonomous workflows. See the MCP getting started guide.

Thinking about this graph a lot, showing how LLMs have essentially killed Stack Overflow traffic and, I'd extrapolate, most other coding forums like it. So what will happen in the future? When new libraries, languages and frameworks are released but without these sites for the LLMs to train on?

You are correct, that is 100% what is going to happen. The dudes who run it do not have anyone’s best interests in mind. We need to bring back self-hosted blogs, IMO
In January 2022, the Center for Countering Digital Hate accused Substack of allowing content that could be dangerous to public health. The Center estimated that the company earned $2.5 million per year from the top five anti-vaccine authors alone.
1651 The three founders responded via blog post with affirming their commitment to minimal censorship. [66]
Substack faced further criticism in November 2023
for allowing its platform to be used by white nationalists, Nazis, and antisemites. 67] In an open letter, more than 100 Substack creators threatened to leave the platform, 681 and implored Substack's leadership to stop giving bigotry a platform. 691 In response, Substack CEO Hamish McKenzie said that the company will continue to allow the publication of extremist views because attempting to censor them would make the problem worse.

You can give any code block in JavaScript a name! Which is literaly never useful!
if (x<10) hello: {
  console.log("x is less than ten");
}
else helloAgain: if (x>10) {
  console.log("x is greater than ten");
}

We like to think of science as an objective, independent thing but it relies on language, which itself alters our perceptions. Put another way: if your scientific paper is written in English, it already posesses assumptions and a biased point-of-view.
For each domain (represented by an icon), the first text column describes a generalization made based on observations of English speakers, while the second column provides counterevidence from findings in other languages.

Can’t stop thinking about the nightmare Supreme Court rulling re: presidential immunity.
Suppose a future president’s chief of staff were to inform the president that a donor will give $5 million to his or her reelection effort if the president names someone to the federal bench or vetoes a bill that Congress passed, and the president takes the requested action triggering the donation. We would expect that president to be charged with bribery when their term expired. But at the then-former president’s trial, the offer of the bribe could not be offered into evidence since part of the president’s office duties included meeting with the chief of staff.
