Happy October 👻 I need something smaller to play alongside Fire Emblem since I likely won’t finish that until 2031, so what better month to finally start my Castelvania arc!!!

I’ve played Fortune’s Weave for 40 hours now and have yet to even complete 1 part. Honestly I’ve still probably got like 20-30 hours before I do. And it seems there may be 6 parts in total. I might be cooked man, don’t know that I’ve got 200+ hours of this in me 😂😂😭

Had such a great weekend with friends at our annual board game retreat. Nice just to relax, snack, and game with no worries. Magical Athlete & Underwater Cities were definitely the big hits this year. We had a blast with Return to Dark Tower last year, so was stoked to play that again!

I was late to Three Houses, but that game carried me through many of the pandemic’s early days. Still one of my all-time favorite games. I’m stoked to experience Fire Emblem with everyone this time 🥳

I was not a fan of Metroid Dread, but I may give it another chance before Ravenous since it’s not a long game. The boss fights were good, but the environment was so fucking ass and Ravenous looks like it could be the same on that front. I just hope they don’t forget the soundtrack again.

Got through Year 1 in Fields of Mistria! I’m dating everybody so I can get all their unique furniture, but Reina might be the one. Love her design and that she’s nasty with it in the kitchen.

Still thinking about the burrito I had in San Francisco at Pokémon Worlds. We were in the Mission district, birthplace of the “Mission style” burrito. Wish I had time to try more local spots because this burrito had me damn near in tears. The house made salsas were stellar 😮‍💨

When I started Fields of Mistria, I was worried that it was so structurally similar that I wouldn’t be able to shake that “why don’t I just play Stardew instead” feeling. But I have been so impressed by the character work. The dialogue is so dynamic; Mistria really feels alive and reactive.

Thank you to everyone who replied or reached out to me with such kind words. I was pretty down about this today. But I gave myself a few hours to cry about it and now it’s time to work on doing better. I put together a new workout/dietary schedule and ran right to the store for what I needed.

Just got my numbers back from my health screening, and despite eating FAR healthier and working our more than I have in literal decades, my numbers plummeted to the point I jumped from “ideal health” to “high risk” in just a year. Not only will my insurance costs go up, but I feel so defeated ☹️

I’m so sad to say I didn’t get selected for the Yuka Morri session at Pokémon Worlds this weekend 💔 Yuka has long been one of my favorite TCG artists, so I would’ve loved to participated. This Swirlix I posted the other week is one of my all time favorite cards!
