Annatar holds and gazes at Celebrimbor’s severed head as it drips blood. Annatar is lying on his stomach and elbows.

Most ship fandoms when canon does something evil that nonetheless kinda supports their ship: we got [ship] but at what cost?! Silvergifting fans when one half of their ship murders the other half and keeps the corpse as a memento: wow, this is AMAZING. (Never change guys.)

...is that --? the statue of celebrimbor and the statue of sauron next to each other, in front of my LOTRO house? yes.

Video game showing a marble statue of Celebrimbor holding a hammer and raising a ring, next to a black statue of Sauron in armor raising a mace.

new fic for TRSB 2026!: the craft of memory. Celebrimbor/Annatar, 21,896 words, rated M. read on ao3: archiveofourown.org/works/91676851 inspired by Celebrimbor's Jewels by Harp_of_Gold: archiveofourown.org/works/91414411

Graphic with ornamental lines for 'The Craft of Memory'. “Celebrimbor,” Annatar says, “You would tell me if you began to remember what you have lost, would you not? I only —” he looks away and clears his throat. “I have much I would like to talk about with you.”

Celebrimbor wakes in an unfamiliar land without his memories of the last few hundred years. He can rest easy, though. Annatar is there. He will take care of him.

Then, Annatar takes the copper basin and kneels at his feet.

“I was afraid in a way I have never before felt, when I saw your breath leave your body,” Annatar murmurs. He pours water into the basin and lathers the soap. His eyes no longer meet Celebrimbor’s as he washes him, but instead lingers on the drag of the rag against his skin. He traces the path of the washcloth down his neck and over his collarbones and shoulder blades.

“I know much of smithing, of the making of swords or gems or jewelry, but nothing of the craft of a body,” Annatar continues, wringing out the rag. “I never before realized how delicate the flesh is, or even the spirit.”

Celebrimbor closes his eyes at the drag of the washcloth against his skin, of slick soap and rough linen.

“Oh, I know what you are made of - of skin and sinew, blood and bone,” Annatar says. “I know every vein. I am not granted the gift of forgetting, as you are. I must remember it all.”

“Checkmate, Tyelpë~” My art for the TRSB event :) [ #silvergifting #sauron #celebrimbor ]

The drawing depicts Sauron (as Annatar) and Celebrimbor sitting across from each other while playing chess in Celebrimbor’s study. Sauron is leaning over the table to go in for a kiss with Celebrimbor (whose eyes are closed) while simultaneously moving his queen chess piece to take one of Celebrimbor’s pawns. This move is checkmate. Appearance wise, Sauron has long, straight hair in a half-up half-down style. The top half is pulled back into a bun with a hair net. Celebrimbor has long, wavy hair in a braid that comes down over his left shoulder to the front of his body. A few strands of his hair hang loose to frame his face.

Sometimes Silvergifting is just ✨this✨ in my head: "How unfair", Annatar thinks, squished between a pec and a bicep while cuddling with Celebrimbor (right where he wants to be) "that I actually fell for him".

Alright I’m gonna stop after this for the moment I think but my old vitiligo Celebrimbor propaganda bc ‘silverhand’ has always struck me funny #silmarillion #celebrimbor #tyelperinquar

Several digital sketches, on a grey-brown background, of Tyelpe depicted with vitiligo. Most of his skin is quite dark, with patches on his forehead, hands, left ear, and neck visibly pale. In the first drawing his hands are held in Annatar's (still pale but slightly darker than his own), and he has a questioning look. His hair is pulled back into a braid coiled into a bun, and he is dressed for the forge. A speech bubble next to him reads "?" His hair is black but streaked with white near the pale spot at his forehead and in a few places further back. Some jewelry is visible in his ears and on Annatar's arms. The second and third drawings are just portraits, with Tyelpe's hair in a looser style, held periodically by large metal clasps. In the second drawing, he looks confused and slightly annoyed. In the third, he looks surprised, and a speech bubble reads "!!"

dark academia.

A two panel illustrated comic by sariane. First panel shows Celebrimbor slumped at a desk, a spiderweb between him and his anvil. The next panel shows Annatar scowling as he reads a scroll titled "Grants." Caption: To the relief of all in Middle Earth, the Rings of Power were never forged... due to funding cuts in the arts.
