DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 4hThat'd be an interesting idea. It is a pattern. They have, what, the J, the 450 (Sherpa?) and the 650 twin and the new 750 version of the twin, but put them in multiple bikes. Guess it's cheaper to design frames than new engines. 020
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 4hOther indian rider friends have told me that too. No idea why. You'd think companies would scale production to service the largest markets in the world. 020
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 4hI agree. My wife and I both have the older one, though it looks like it'll be a while before we get to try a new one if they're being snapped up at the source. 110
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 4hI still have one as my main ride. Put 75000km on it with no troubles. Still can't entirely trust the compass though. 😀 000
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 11hInteresting. It is a beautiful bike. And I reckon low tech is still pretty appealing in advs. #motorcycle #motosky www.rideapart.com/news/810376/...rideapart.comRoyal Enfield Can Do No Wrong, As The Company Is Unable to Keep Up With Himalayan 440 OrdersRoyal Enfield paused Himalayan 440 bookings after demand swallowed six months of production. Clearly, something is working. 5213
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 04/10/2026Yeah that's beyond the scope at the moment. Even getting east of the Caspian means Russia, Iran, or flying your bikes to Kazakhstan. Maybe we'll get there one day. 010
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 04/10/2026Malaysia and Southern Thailand for four months. Maybe the Isan if we get there. Slow travel. Lots of ducks to get in a row though. 110
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 04/10/2026Booked the first tickets on the next riding-overseas-adventure. Bit of a bigger and disruptive one, so a little more nervous, but gotta do it. 290
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 27/09/2026Little Saturday ride north to the Hunter. It apparently does two things well: wine and motorcycle roads. It was fun. 0190
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 21/09/2026I used it for music once in the outback and turned it off after twenty minutes. It's just too distracting for a musical brain like mine. 110
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 21/09/2026Ha. Nice, Nevada. Dalma and I have the same philosophy. Only we can get lost even with he GPS. :) 020
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 21/09/2026I don't think it's odd. It's ride your own ride taken logically. Some people like riding with hundreds of people. Some people like riding Harley's. I like riding on my own or with Dalma and on a Himalayan. *Really*, Sam, ride your own ride. However that makes sense to *you*. 😊 010
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 20/09/2026Yep. I have one for when Dalma and I ride together overseas, but rarely use it in my day to day riding. And never music. Far too distracting for my brain. 000
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 20/09/2026Im super glad you've got this new bike, Sarah. Sounds like it's just perfect for you. 😊 110
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 20/09/2026Sometimes, I ride in solitude and in silence. No Cardo. No music. Just engine, wind, road, and the vastness inside a helmet. Perfect. Solitude removes the social soundtrack. Silence removes the auditory one. Together they give me back to myself. #motosky #motorcycle youtu.be/SGWCp6NDFFYyoutu.beSolitude and Silence: What They Do for You on a MotorcycleYouTube video by Two Wheels In 9302

DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 15/09/2026Fair take, Jerry. I do think autonomy is a form of freedom. I feel free on Dalma's and my motorcycle travels. But maybe fun is just a different take. 000
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 14/09/2026We talk about "freedom" as one of the reasons we ride. But what is it? And do we actually find it in the saddle? This week's video considers the idea of freedom through three tests. And only one of them makes it. youtu.be/sjg0nxXg9lk?... #motorcycle #motoskyyoutu.beWhy Motorcycle Freedom Isn't What You ThinkYouTube video by Two Wheels In 3102
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 11/09/2026My mum has one actually, but it's expensive and fast. If I was gonna ride anywhere, it'd be on that. 😀 010
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 11/09/2026I ignore the vast majority. At least it's mostly motorcycle stuff. I made three criteria...its gotta be beautiful, useful, and durable. Cuts out most of them. But this was pretty far out there. 020
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 11/09/2026I suspect I'm on a list somewhere that's shared among companies. When I've been contacted before, it's usually been motorcycle gear. But this was pretty random. 120
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 11/09/2026Hey, if I could get it out of them, I would. You know how many Himalayan I could buy if I sold that thing? 😂 041
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 10/09/2026Jesus fuck. Never even thought of that as an option. That'll be a harder than normal pass from me. 😳 210
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 10/09/2026Feel you mate. My least favourite part of maintaining an online presence. Still, gotta be done. 010
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 10/09/2026Awesome. A company contacted me for a collaboration/review. Happens regularly, and I ignore most of them. Not quite sure how to take this one though. It's for a company that manufactures mobility scooters. 🤔 5161
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 10/09/2026Android or cheap? 😂. We're doing both. Dalmas phone broke, so we bought her a reconditioned Pixel 8 Pro for $300. Works fine, covered for a year. With the way most phones now have incremental improvements, I reckon we'll stay one or two generations behind cutting edge. 000
DavidC @twowheelsin.com · 10/09/2026I'm not on X (spits in spittoon), but I saw this posted on Reddit. Makes you think. 2111
