When I left Seattle, paintings went all over the place. One of my favorites was this Red Tie / Flag painting that was delivered by bus across town by Matt Brown to its new owner (his Mom Janet Brown). Best advertising campaign ever.

The Wall Street Journal did a nice little write up on the final Camp John Waters. I feel lucky to have been able to attend and be a small part of it for a few years. What really made it special was that JW was a guiding star for a lot of wonderful weirdos that really made the camp what it was.

Regional food: the Shuco! It's Guatemalan street food that is taking over providence. Lots of Shuco pride in the restaurants that serve them. I know the Galley and Patriarca have great ones. Chopped up hot dog, fresh avocado, ketchup, mustard, cabbage. hot dog but cheesesteak sized to make you happy

When I first got to camp John waters, it was overwhelming but the first person to come up to me and make me feel welcome was Kay. I would bet I'm not the only one too. I very much remember it and I'm glad her beautiful note won her the Serial Mom / Mommie Dearest painting. It has a great home.

It's funny to me how you can now legit be old school Seattle just because you remember the Viaduct. This is my Seattle Viaduct / Godzilla painting that was made before it came down and thanks to the WONDERFUL Vanishing Seattle, this was projected onto the structure before it got ripped down

What I'm Listening To: I have been slamming this new Denzel Curry album on repeat this month. It's like grimy old hip hop with weird and fun 70s influenced samples. Picked it up on bandcamp Friday and it's a true blue jam. Really fun production for a great MC.

Ask your kids about this one! It's Fluttershy (from My Little Pony) and Gloomy Bear. It's by far the most popular Gen Alpha painting I have as the kids run up to the booth when they spy it. Also, I just love the hyperpop those kids are into.

It's Serial Mom / Mommie Dearest aka Serial Mommie. CJW was a special place and I'm glad I was able to experience it.
