FEATURED READERS

BRENDA COOPER writes science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. She has won two Endeavour awards for her long fiction and has been shortlisted for the Phillip K. Dick Award. Her short fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Analog, Asimov’s, Nature, Anthropocene, and in many other publications. Her most recent book is a collection of short fiction and poetry, “When Mothers Dream: Stories” from Fairwood Press. August 2025. Brenda has worked in local government and construction as a technology leader. She lives in Woodinville, WA.

RANDY HENDERSON is the author of the quirky Finn Fancy trilogy from Tor, a Writers of the Future grand prize winner, and advocate for living a happy creative life with healthy definitions of success. He’s also a sometime TTRPG livestreamer, and frequent cat pillow. Nina Kiriki Hoffman
Over the past four decades, Nebula and Stoker Award-winning writer Nina Kiriki Hoffman has sold adult and young adult novels and more than 400 short stories. Her works have been finalists for the World Fantasy, Mythopoeic, Sturgeon, Philip K. Dick, and Endeavour awards. Nina teaches writing through Fairfield County Writers' Studio and Wordcrafters in Eugene. She lives in Oregon, and plays mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and bass with the Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers.

Benjamin Schmitt is the Elgin Award-nominated author of five books, most recently Satan’s School for Girls and Other Works (Goldfish Press, 2026). His writing has appeared in Sojourners, Antioch Review, The MacGuffin, Sensitive Skin, Hobart, Columbia Review, The Seattle Times, and elsewhere. A co-founder of Pacifica Writers’ Workshop, he lives in Seattle with his children.
