TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I just recently bought a bunch of extra GQuuuuuuX keychains (the squirrel(?) from I Can Friday By Day! that Machu has on her bag) specifically so I can hand them out as gifts to any Machu cosplayers I spot 010
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Incidentally, Round 1 Sunvalley Mall in Concord apparently has a cab. 110

TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 31/08/2026@gkids.com's release of The Last Blossom had the worst and best subtitles surprises. Worst: Subs were desynced 2-3 seconds. Best: Credits were fully translated, first time I've seen that. Absolutely loved it as someone who makes a point to watch credits, massive props to those who made it happen. 000
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 26/08/2026It also probably doesn't help that the line was released just as COVID hit MGEX Unicorn (Sept 2020) was obviously a casualty, but even the MGEX SF might have been, it released Nov 2022 so it's possible it started development pre-COVID 000
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 26/08/2026The Most Premium Master Grade featuring the Coolest Special Feature is, in retrospect, a pretty restrictive frame for a kit line 100
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 26/08/2026the last shooting pose with the right arm behind his back... pretty good 0130
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I have an A5 cutting mat, it's small enough to carry around, pretty nice there's also the Eiger Tool "Modeling Petit Mat", 3.5x3.5 cm (a bit over 1x1 in), very cute and might be enough for small decals 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 25/08/2026scissors also can work I definitely recommend getting a proper cutting surface tho 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Both are remakes of the original Best Mecha Collection kit (1980), preserving one part of the BMC's design while modernizing the other. The FG (1999) is a remake with modern sculpt and old-school assembly. The BMC Revival (2024) is a remake with old-school sculpt and modern assembly. 050
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Had a funny Gunpla realization: The 20th anniversary kit (First Grade) and the 45th anniversary kit (Best Mecha Collection Revival Ver.) are opposite versions of the same idea. 160
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 18/08/2026was sold from by Vox Media to Valnet in May 2025 (+ laying off the majority of staff, for good measure) 050
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Idk what it takes to get a niche indie anime film like this on the radar of anime tastemakers and distribution companies, but I hope it happens so they can help spread the word. 010
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 11/08/2026- Cherry and Virgin is now one of my favorite anime movies, full stop. - Cherry and Virgin will be one of the best anime films of 2027. - My only worry about the film is that it will go under the radar. This will be a cult classic, but it deserves as wide an audience as it can get. 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I don't want to do the movie a disservice by hyping it up too much; it is a small-scale story, the visuals are fantastic and inventive but not conventionally "flashy", the subject matter and visual ideas at play are almost laser-targeted at me, etc etc BUT: 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 11/08/2026In an incredible alignment of the stars, I got to see Cherry and Virgin for a second time. I am happy to report that it holds up. 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 03/08/2026what if it's a great calm from a moment of enlightenment, a brief and sudden realization of the true nature of existence and all things 000
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 03/08/2026I am not one of these three sickos, I have effectively zero knowledge of fashion history and no ability to recognize it, but this kind of post is slowly turning me into one. Sicko proselytizing material. Please keep posting it. 020
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 03/08/2026the drink actually contains remarkably little alcohol, but they only serve it to you if you're almost all the way gone 020
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 03/08/2026The series does depict more atrocities directly than Fullmetal Alchemist, both by antagonists and protagonists, and this scene from vol 8 (between Gabby and Hikaru, the Kagemori manga) is pretty easy to read as Arakawa pointing it out 150
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 03/08/2026I'm not quite up to date on the manga (only to vol 8, where the full picture is finally coming into view), but it is quite clear that no group here is in good moral standing, be it Higashino Village or the Kagemori Clan or [redacted] 240
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 01/08/2026It's soooo good, genuinely painful I can't get most people to watch it yet 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 01/08/2026If "each character is rendered in their art style, in the way they see the world" sounds like your thing, you have to see this movie. 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 01/08/2026The world premiere was just a few weeks ago at the Fantasia Film Festival. I was already interested by the trailer, both the story and style seemed up my alley, and it turned out to be everything I was hoping for and more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wW43...youtube.comCherry & Virgin - TrailerYouTube video by Fantasia International Film Festival 111
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 01/08/2026If you're going to Otakuthon, PLEASE consider putting Cherry and Virgin (early movie screening) on your schedule. (Saturday 5:15-6:45pm) This is the second-ever showing of what will be one of the best anime movies of next year. Do not pass it up. 111
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Ooh-wee-ooh, you look just like Buddy Holly Oh, oh, and I'm Michael A La Mode 010
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 24/07/2026One more note from the website, the tagline for the series is "Rewrite the Future" (未来を、かきかえろ) 🤔 It might not mean anything, but the last time I overlooked a Gundam tagline it was GQuuuuuuX's "A Crossing of Dreams" (unbelievably on the nose) so I've learned my lesson lol 110
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Interestingly, the official webpage specifies the title of the project is "Alex Zero" (『機動戦士ガンダムRG XARX-ZERO（アレックスゼロ）』 in the webpage title), but the Gundam itself is only listed as "Gundam ZERO" (Name: ガンダムZERO, Model number: XARX-0) 120
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 24/07/2026It's messed up that (X)ARX (アレックス) is what made me realize that the NT-1 "Alex" was always a play on the Gundam designation "RX" (アールエックス) 260
TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 23/07/2026He's also got one of my favorite afterwords from Gundam The Origin (vol 11 iirc?) 110

TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Reading Le Phénomène Gundam by @jpdubrulle.bsky.social (French Gundam translator and president of @aeug.fr) as research for my Intro to Gundam panel. Likely the best one-stop resource on Gundam in a non-asian language. Highly recommended if you can read French. 182

TwoAi @twoai.bsky.social · 09/07/2026from one episode and a glance at the manga, yani neko does feel like a kind of alternate watamote girl self-sabotages constantly and ruins her life, and we all get to watch open question is if it will take a positive turn like watamote did 000
