Because I deserve a little bit of schadenfraude amongst all the bad news: LEVEL-5 just got caught and community noted for AI faking a mock-up of their TGS booth. The real booth will probably look similar when erected. But the concept pic was AI generated and there’s nothing currently there now.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

Nue's Exorcist is such an incredibly rich story that can't help getting upset at so many people calling it "slop" or "generic". Genuinely a complete disengegament from the story and character writing, not even trying to entertain it for a little. Then they'll call axebait number 5 "peak", lol.

The "I can't believe this is a 2020s manga and not a 2000s eroge or light novel" trio. They're all really good if you love that era's otaku trends that mixed chuuni elements and romcom hjinks. (Nue's Exorcist / Nue no Onmyouji, Kurotsuki no Yaergnacht, Kimi wa Shuumatsu)

Everytime I see western shonen fans whining about Nue while praising stuff like Under Doctor and Mage Next Door, it makes clear how much shounen fans don't actually like anime or manga and care more about surface level aesthetics than actually engaging with what they read.

PSA for Discord's new age verification! If you get hit by it and refuse to give them any ID or face scans as you should, here's a way to just... bypass it. Go to Settings - Family Centre and then just enter a date of birth that's 18+ It's really that simple. Give them nothing.
