I am not sure if the USA can ever recover from the ongoing self destruction. What will rise from the rubble might be better or far worse. It’s up to the USA nation to decide and the rest of the world to choose if they can be trusted again. All I know it’s going to be a long road.

unregulated and deregulated does not produce an increase in technology but provides a mode for damaging technologies and you will be paying out the nose for their known problems that went without address. you need to realize that regulation produces safer technologies and new jobs in development.

things i'll note on data centers and crappy technology is there is a huge amount of heat being produced and heat is energy that is wasted. if we slow down this unregulated technology then someone can reinvent or advent methods of recapturing that energy, minimize cooling requirements, and safer.

then the rural folks are stuck with even worse water shortages and costs, major power outages where there were none and an increased heat sector in fire zones. there are better ways and when no one stops them, they don't have to develop those ways.

I live very rural and data centers don't provide anything but empty promises of tax base and jobs. we have few skilled labor and most only know stick built methods. so if they place a data center across from the highschool-all the workers to build it will vanish in 3 months back to the metro-areas.

the rats are winning-decimated my garden completely except the jalapeno, cilantro, basil and mary. harvesting only the primo and trimming green then it's native tabacco curing sped up by technology. buds don't go brown for 5 years. i can't believe the rats ate every tomatillo but yeah they did.
