made it to ~2700 lizards but i'm hemmed in to a tiny peninsula by a massive empire of pig-men who almost have more troops than i have citizens in total. probably gonna restart rather than try to get to ~2k troops with only my capital to break out.

And here's an example of the other half. Terato attack lines are exclusively melee-ranged (with a few, limited cases of burst 1) but can use nearby allies, or allies near those allies, etc. as their origin point instead of the attacker's actual position.

Trigger: An attack would hit you and you have not used this ability since your last turn.

Summoner: When you start your turn, you summon one Terato Warbler to an adjacent square. They act immediately after your next turn. There can only be a maximum of three Terato Warblers on the field for each PC at any time. (TP+1)

Super Dodge: You never grant Opportunities. (TP+5)

Weak Damage: -1 damage to all attacks. (TP-3)

Stooge: A Stooge has only 1 Hit Point, automatically fails all Saving Throws, and only deals 1 damage on Opportunities.

Here's the Ghoul final boss, with full rules. He might be overtuned in his current form, I was debating whether Umbilical Lord should cost him one of his initiative counts or not, but he paid for it out of his TP budget, so we'll see.

An eerie, floating fetus. It is quite clearly dead, with patches of necrotic flesh and the stump of an umbilical cord waving in the breeze.

Effect: The target gains 14 Buffer Points. As long as the target has these Buffer Points, it is Dominated, the Ghoul Inheritor is pulled adjacent to and moves with the target, and it cannot be targeted or damaged. When all Buffer Points are depleted, the Ghoul Inheritor takes 14 damage. Only one character may be Dominated this way at any time, and it can only be used on any given character once. (TP+8)

When an enemy misses you, the attacker must succeed on a saving throw or be Frenzied on their next turn. (This does not apply to the Dominated target of Umbilical Lord.)

The Saurian Pahlevan. I wasn't going to make the dinos into a full faction (since they're mostly meant to be player allies barring early misunderstandings) but sometimes an idea just pops into your head fully formed and you don't have a choice in the matter.
