So I just discovered that After Effects can just...FORCE USE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS and not use your GPU for rendering. After I disabled integrated graphics in my device manager...Adobe finally used my 4070ti and turned what was a 1 hr render...into a 4 MINUTE render.

The internet used to be a pile of links to cool websites. Then we spent two decades with working search engines and people didn't need to know where everything was. Then google broke itself with AI. I've made a website to catalog niche sites that do one cool thing really well, for free. #NoAI

How to filter out AI Images in Google Image Search. Sharing this with my students so I figured I'd also share it with everyone here. Hopefully this image is still relevant given Google's changes. Save this on your computer or phone and refer to it as needed.

HOW TO FILTER OUT AI IMAGES IN GOOGLE IMAGES

When you type something add the following minus keywords: -ai, -prompt

Since AI movement increased highly in 2022, use "before:" like before:2021 (VERY effective)

The following keywords will affect and should decrease amounts of AI imagery appearing on your search.

Create, not scrape!

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start: go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping, and toggle that shit off

Screenshot of PayPal's Terms of Service update, outlining their "personalized shopping" feature where they allow themselves the right to give info about you to other companies
