The third and final part of this interlude. And so begins all the catching up on what's been happening with Ashlyn & team over the last 2 years while I haven't been writing their stories. Been fun doing this 3-parter to get back into writing 😊 #StarTrekOnline www.deviantart.com/turquoisec/a...

Been two and a half years since I published any Ashlyn stories. But for Ashlyn, somehow it's felt like more. Or maybe less. #StarTrekOnline www.deviantart.com/turquoisec/a...

SNW's showrunners are having to defend their decisions only because people hate on whatever Trek is current no matter what direction it goes. The trend of 'no one hates on Trek more than Trek fans' continues, a pattern since TNG was first announced. Just enjoy, or watch something else.

I don't care for the "but HP was part of my childhood!" argument. I'm more worried about the childhoods (and adulthoods, we're far beyond the 'think of the children' stage of attempted erasure) that are directly threatened using the profits of that nostalgia. Your nostalgia isn't worth lives.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series

You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Seen a lot of people responding to this with “I’m just going to pirate the show,” and I want to gently remind everyone that the central idea in this piece is that there’s no way to engage with the Potter franchise in any capacity that doesn’t benefit Rowling and her bigotry

A lot of cis people don't know that Rowling is actively leading the trans genocide, but many more actively choose to keep their head in the sand about it so they can have plausible deniability to enjoy Harry Potter "guilt free." bsky.app/profile/park...

Finally got a chance to watch more of #StarfleetAcademy with my mom this weekend. Got 3 episodes left to watch another time. Dunno what folks are complaining about, the show's amazing! Hate that it's being cancelled so quick, but I'll absolutely enjoy the heck out of it in the meantime 🖖

This. Loved Firefly, but Baldwin is a bad call. Big part of gamergate (that's a throwback...) and by all accounts remains a bigot. Incredibly anti-LGBTQ+, among other hateful views. Then again, Fillion's thing has been cop shows even in the current climate, so who knows what this show will say.

For the #StarTrekOnline drama happening... I just can't. High-priced bundles and lockbox ships have been STO for years, moreso since DECA. And I remain furious at STO for one reason - people's lost jobs. Be angry over those job cuts, and actual suffering and world issues. This ship trait isn't it.

Just a heads-up: If I make a post about how much I love sth on season 3 of #StarTrekSNW, providing a screenshot comparison, and you then feel the urge to express your disdain for the show(runner), writer or FX in a rant-reply, unrelated to the original post - I'll just block you. No time for that!

Still playing #StarTrekOnline from time to time, even though a certain shipgirl game has taken over my life (hence the name of the ship in the screenshot😅) I realized with ST:Picard, it's one-upped the precedent for making TMP-era hulls fit in the current era. Works well in STO's timeframe too!

The fallacy of 'LGB without the T' is going exactly how everyone warned it was going to. There will never be a point where hate is satisfied with who they've erased. There will always be a next target. No matter how safe you may think you are, they'll always find new ways cut everyone out.

Been a while on here! Catching up on #StarTrekOnline news. Looks like mostly just things breaking (which happens when you fire a ton of staff, shocker), a drip feed of ships, and event reruns. Is there a roadmap for where the game is going these days, or is it just kinda... slowing to a halt?

Every time you buy a Harry Potter product, you are financing the dismantling of trans rights

"About the fund. The J.K. Rowling Women's Fund (JKRWF) offers legal funding support to individuals and organisations fighting to retain women's sex-based rights [...]. It provides women with the means and confidence to bring to justice cases that make legal precedents, force policy change, and make positive contributions to women's lives in the future."

Don't really want to give the engagement to this one, so here's just a pic of the article. Honestly? Strange New Worlds, Picard, and Section 31 were all different and I feel that's a good thing. Trek's massive, with an endless internal world. There's lots to explore, and lots of stories to tell!

A lot of #StarTrekOnline players need to cool it on how they're treating the devs. Am I frustrated with STO? Yes - but solely at management decisions that've seen people fired. If you're fully harassing staff over new ship hype timelines or a suboptimal weapons layout, you need better priorities.

Had enough free ZEN for one ship from the new set. Had to be Ark Royal, specifically the Picard styled hull. Hard to see the ship's name here, but it's the USS Painlevé. #StarTrekOnline
