BREAKING: SCOTUS allows the Trump admin to restart third-country removals under a policy found by lower courts to violate federal law. The Democratic appointees dissent. The deportations will be OK'ed at least through the next several months, with SCOTUS agreeing to hear the case in December.

is unlawful under 8 U.S. C. §1231(b), the Due Process Clause, or FARRA/CAT and its implementing regulations. (4) Such other
questions that the Government determines are appropriate for the
proper disposition of the case. The Clerk is directed to
establish a briefing schedule that will allow the case to be argued in the December 2026 argument session. The stay shall
terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court.

Today’s game is “food poisoning or stomach bug” and the points don’t matter because it’s all the same outcome. Not sure where I’d pick it up, but I ‘do take the bus so maybe? Laura and I have eaten the same food so that makes good poisoning unlikely. All I know is that I’d very much like it gone.

Two more solid shows under the ol belt Was definitely off going into the first show but a good friend and troupe alum was in town for the grown up show. Chatty evening, One of my other good friends and I chatted for a long time once folks left. I really need to get out more. I say it every time.

This week has been wonky, mentally. Been all sorts of mentally jammed up while simultaneously productive elsewhere. I didn’t plan food til Monday. Most things didn’t go to plan. Met with some friends from IAM for lunch and scouted some spots at Memorial to share up that might be film friendly…

That's the 2026 James Madison Lecture, my first, wrapped and successful! The final WHS HQ filming was earlier this week. Special projects over for now, it's time to get back to my regular work of doing a bunch of other random tasks but less tied to a central effort. But for now? EXHAUSTED!

Picked up the loaner lighting for the James Madison Lecture (courtesy of ETC in Middleton) and they have one of the coolest lobbies I have ever seen (sadly I don’t think they are on Bluesky or I’d tag them). The reception area is in the Nighthawk’s Diner for Pete’s sake. How awesome is that?!

On the hunt for beautiful spaces at WHS HQ as alternate filming locations since the students are back and our Reading Room is busy busy busy. Got logistics for the lecture next week sorted. Still a bit on edge and anxious about all the things but it helps to have a plan. Gotta get thru next week!

From the late 2000s to the early 2010s: I had repeat dreams almost weekly that I could sense the demon, and I'd try to help people but no one would listen. The location changed often, but the content was always the same: I'd tell everyone, I'd fight it, but ultimately the demon would fool everyone.

Mrs. T’s birthday happened recently and I had the goofy idea to draw my hand to be used as a sort of monkey’s paw. She can tear off a finger, write her idea for a single panel cartoon, and hand it to me and I’ll draw it! The warning exists as I will definitely try to twist the words in a fun way.

Went on a tour of our Collections space at WHS HQ (still need to get to our preservation facility) and learned a lot about how we've organized everything. We hold the nation's largest collections of labor and trade union papers, military base newspapers, and 1960s underground press. Cool to see!

We were showing a friend some displays and highlighting how much space it’d probably take for the last two years of Mrs. T and my painted minis. We’ve had the options of getting pre colored but that’s not why we use minis. Akin to my prefs on fan fic: i want my minis to be MY minis. Bad or not.

I didn’t expect to spend almost an hour on a grocery pick-up order but they appeared to have had a series of unfortunate events. The manager was more than apologetic and a new record was set for longest wait! I messed up the pizza order to boot Mrs. T wanted cheese and I hit pep so this happened:

Made my first fluffernutter in 20+ years cuz we had some leftover fluff from a snicker brownie bake Not too bad! I wouldn’t make them if we didn’t have leftovers but they are a fun snack until we run out The good news is that the bake was delicious Basically homemade snickers with a brownie base.

Busy day following a busy weekend and a busy month, I caught up on a lot of chores and Laura made some amazing snickers brownies (not pictured). The new tree is doing amazingly well. Working on a lot of presearch for corp partnerships at work which is a major shift from the last couple weeks.

A sensible menu with a lot of romaine because I accidentally ordered too much.

The tree that sprang from the one Mrs. T as a little girl is doing really well. Fungus is still not great but the base of the tree is a good inch and a half in diameter now.

Gary Gygax’s first dungeon, blown up for visibility, these are four 8x10’ tables.

Don’t want to hear any complaining about me adding too many rooms to my maps!

If it’s good enough for Gary it’s good enough for you.

TL;DR - DHS agents are spying on Americans in leftist groups who have consistently displayed they are only interested in peaceful protests. Some DHS agents attempted to entice these groups out of peaceful status by offering services and saying "I'm not afraid to go to jail" Trying for entrapment.
