Two more Naval Raiders to a decent state. Will spend tomorrow refining the Captain and finally some big games on Saturday

Pushing a couple more Naval Raiders to a personal tabletop passable standard. Not too many to go for a full list now, after which I can start refining these

Another one for the grinder, half finished that is. Trying to get as many models to at least this level so none of the models look entirely unpainted in the next week's event

Wish I'd gotten these models earlier so I wouldn't need to start rushing them next week, but I am enjoying myself immensely working on these

First of the Heretic Naval Raiders done, at least for now. Might do some extra weathering later once more are finished

Still a WIP but probably could lock in this colour scheme for the naval raiders

Attended another course this weekend, this time held by my friend Erkka Marttio. Quite WiP and I gotta fix his right eye still, but an excellent start

Gave a full on phthalo green treatment a try and it does feel quite nice. Also next I ought to start figuring out what the squiggles could mean and how to develop them further

Second iteration, purple moved from the shoulder pads to shade the greens and added some dark yellow ochre to the weapons. Will have to mull over the purple a bit but might keep it on the shoulders instead

Entered Cold North Open last weekend and won my first miniature painting competition gold there with this Trench Crusade Stosstruppen model I finished a couple weeks ago.

Took a break from the trimjob and painted most of the banestrike bolter

These trims sure demand a lot out of me

Was debating whether or not I should do NMM for all the metallics when the rest of the army has been TMM so far, but 15 minutes of sketching later I might have come to a conclusion to do it anyways. The Praetor can benefit from some extra effort

Attended a huge Siege of Terra: Mortis event last weekend, 3 days of Titan filled mayhem in 2v2 Horus Heresy games with 4k point lists each

DIY Sons of Horus Destroyer Assault Squad finished and photographed. Kinda started taking a lot of shortcuts with the painting towards the end but pretty happy with the custom sculpted parts and can't wait to retry something better for the next squad

One more down with this phase, think this'll shape out to be quite the swell group once done

Progress has been pretty slow for a good while now but the Sergeant is almost ready for the next steps, 8 others left to get to this step

Yeah the MKVI Assaults will do nicely as the basis for my Destroyers

A tiny issue but I realised I posted the wrong wide shot before I made some minor adjustments. Here no model is entirely covered by another and all of them face the correct way🤓 Zoom in and have a gander

3k point list for a massive Heresy event next weekend, the largest one in Finland as far as I know. First time taking part now that I finally have a full playable 3k list painted. More pictures below..

I did it.. On the second attempt, the first time around I ran out of time so I had to exfil early but this time I got to the Command Wing in time and actually met someone that asked to team up for once and I was too desperate to get this done to not to agree!

Gonna attempt my final priority contract, which happens to be the MIDA one. I'm gonna lose all this to the first runner I come across aren't I?

Jerk 0 matic @tuomistojoni.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

Pretty much done probably, will maybe do some adjustments later and will take proper pictures with the camera once I get more models ready for the Warband

Didn't have the energy to continue refining the armour so I painted the weapon to a pretty decent state

0512

Jerk 0 matic @tuomistojoni.bsky.social · 09/04/2026

Pushed the colour contrast up a bit by reinforcing the shades with more purple tones, improved the look quite a bit. Slowly proceeding with the texture refining across the armour
