Hello there, I will be discussing things that Tostyart has done to me and others. This ranges from manipulation, enabling, threats against my livelihood, and downright abusive behavior and language. Tosty has been my friend for roughly 2 years. This is horrible abhorrent behavior.

This is the dream our forefathers fought for.

A person sitting at a desk in an office, smiling at the camera. A computer monitor displays characters Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Disney's Zootopia. Text on the image humorously references Claude doing their job, allowing time to look at art involving Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps.

The Empire State Building went pink at exactly 9:25pm for Dolly Parton. Because of course they made it 9 to 5. That’s how you honor an icon. 🩷

Stayed at a hotel that had a sign that read “welcome furry VIPs” It has now dawned on me that it was referring to street cats

My closing statement regarding this weekend's TailTag incident, the future of the idea, and a more formal, personal apology.

As was reported yesterday, TailTag suffered a security breach that resulted in a rouge notification being sent to devices who had it downloaded and notifications enabled. Further investigation revealed many more vulnerabilities and attack vectors in the app's database, resulting in a security incident where user data was publicly available and breached. There is no evidence that sensitive account access information like passwords were accessible, but this still qualifies as a personal data breach. For EU users, addressing Article 27 and 33 of GDPR is in progress. A full report on the incident is available here: https://tinyurl.com/5n6k9dkp

After the investigation of the breach concludes, this iteration of TailTag will be permanently deleted. Apps will be removed from their respective app stores, the database will be deleted, and the source code will be scrapped. However, I am open to restarting the project from scratch if and only if there are community members that would like to work together on it with me. If you are interested in helping recreate this game from the ground up together, please let me know and I will create a group of us to work on it. Otherwise, I will not pick up the project again.

Finally, I do want to personally apologize once more for all of this. There are no excuses for how poorly I executed this idea. The excitement of trying to bring something fun and engaging to the community blinded my judgement of the tools being used during development. AI was used extensively in building this project and I became addicted to the speed of getting something out there for people to enjoy and as a result, did not properly assess the risks of moving with such recklessness. I now realize the severity of my actions, and am frankly embarrassed that I abused the trust that I've built in this community and took advantage of it so frivolously in hindsight. It is a wrongdoing I take full responsibility for and will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This now marks a key point of my time the fandom; from today on, my singular goal as a member of this community is to rebuild the trust that I previously worked so hard to establish up to this point. It will not be easy, but nothing worth doing is, and I will be coming out of this with my head held high and with a newfound ambition to being the best furry that I can be. Hopefully in time, the trust that I lost from this incident can be regained by the fandom that I have fallen in love with. From now on, any time taken out of my life to do so will be time well spent.

Thank you for reading,
Finn the Panther

There really should have been a disclosure that AI was used in the making of TailTag, especially in the code development of it 99% of users are likely not going to look at the repo and see a claude,ai file right here: github.com/FinnThePanth...
