I've had an Amazon account for >20 years, but I get this. I use adblock, auto-refuse advertising cookies, and turn off everything. On the internet, nobody knows how flat my buttocks are.

I'm doing that right now! And that's why GitHub is publishing charts like this, and you can't go on Reddit without seeing posts of "hey I wanted this thing to exist so I vibe-coded it and here it is"

A set of three charts headed "Record Acceleration". They cover pull requests merged, commits, and new repos per month, over a period 2023-2026. All three show a spiky upward trend, followed by an unmistakable jump in 2026.
