The two most polite gentlemen anyone will ever meet. Pendle just saw himself in the mirror, hence his wide eyes, and Binx decided I was too clean for his liking.

I also have a Binx! He isn't great at fetch, but he's an absolute ninja at getting into rooms he's meant to be not in.

It's occurred to me I don't have many photos that shows Pendle being helpful... I can't even say he tries. In fairness, despite being adult sized, he's only 6 months old.

I'm almost certainly wrong, but this feels specifically directed at one of my kittens who screams when cuddled. Kitten provided for you to say it to his face should you choose. (I hope whoever is causing problems stops, and that Salem's little face helps)

Dusty loves Pendle. Like a son. Or a pillow. A sillow? A pun? She does appreciate puns. She even has a favourite Discworld character, so she's heard plenty of them. Pendle also loves Dusty and was sat like this for ages without complaint.

For the sake of both sidesing this, arguably the least successful photos from @chesterzoo.bsky.social yesterday. Chimp behind a bush, lemurs the wrong side of the bridge, sloth hiding on the ceiling and bees camouflaged against a tree/their hive. Further information in the alt text.

A chimpanzee hides behind a shrub on the edge of a large pond. These chimps knew very well people wanted to see them and take photographs, so they went out of their way to make our lives difficult. Nobody can convince me chimps aren't smart.

A group of ring-tailed lemurs hide by a bridge, only visible between the wooden bars. Honestly, fair play to them, they don't need human nonsense in their huddle.

A sloth. He was hanging from a rope above my head for a couple of minutes before I saw someone else looking at him, and suddenly he became obvious. For my Australian friends, I am extremely grateful he wasn't a drop bear. Especially as under him was an aquarium containing pirhanas. We don't need a new Sharknado spinoff.

I'm choosing to pretend I have one massive cat. This is in fact Binx and Salem cuddled up together after Binx has TWICE been stopped from attempting to have sex with a 10 week old kitten. Also, to be clear, they are both boys. Salem is oddly unbothered. I'm unsure what to do with this knowledge.
