yes we see the warnings on LLMs, can be wrong etc. This is not that. This is Agentic AI and Advanced AI, a different ballgame. Currently a big convo going on in the EU regarding liability. That same convo will eventually make its way to US Congress, who takes big $ donations from these companies

no the point is, you are unknowingly driving a defective car. you bought a car that you believed to be good, it was defective. Obviously the manufacturer would be responsible. There is currently no criminal liability for AI companies and their software.

let’s say you buy a car that is defective, the brakes fail and you injure somebody badly. Are you the driver responsible or is the car manufacturer responsible?

no he cannot be held accountable for this. And now you understand why I think AI regulation is so important

He wouldn't be criminally liable for a software error. If corps were held criminally liable, they wouldn't be releasing software this flawed. It targeted the school based on years old data as to what was located there

And important to remember that most of the heads of the tech companies have read his book and think he's a genius, so does JD Vance. Bunch of lunatics at the top.

I agree but the fact that they're pitching it as next to impossible for years is preposterous. In these times of fast info, it's pretty obvious many countries in Europe have managed it and people like it. Yale just brought out a study showing M4A would save $'s and about 100,00 lives per year

More like running against himself, he’s partly to blame for all of it. It seems these people believe everybody will forget that?

Agree on all fronts. The thing about AI is, it has potential to do great harm, and tech companies not being criminally liable gives them no incentive to develop this software safely. Think about the girls school bombed in Iran as a small example. That was an AI targeting error, nobody liable

Lugh @tuathade.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
You'll care when AI regulation comes up in Congress. Get ready for Schumer "we tried, but what could we do?". AI tech companies need to be held criminally liable for their software going rogue and causing harm. That's not in place right now.

They were $100m in the red (!) not that long ago, with the GOP $300m in the green. That's how bad Martin is. Taking money from the same people who are actively working against voters and this country is unforgivable. Palantir is on the list too btw. They supply ICE's surveillance software

The main problem I have with who they’re taking donations from is that it’s the same people who are actively working to dismantle our govt. Yes, they‘ve taken donations from SpaceX this year. This is preferable to Ken Martin than addressing their voters’s concerns who will no longer give them $

Lugh @tuathade.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Not anymore. They’ve been cozying up to AI tech companies for big donations, have taken millions so far this year according to FEC filings. How do we think an AI regulation vote or a direct corporate culpability clause being added is going to go when it gets to Congress? Martin is a traitorous POS

Movie title borrowed from the Judge who sentenced Brock Turner to 6 months after he was convicted of 3 counts of felony sexual assault. The Judge called him a “promising young man”

I’m feeling the same thing. The three big topics are going to be affordability of course, funding for Israel, and Medicare for all which now red voters have realized they should’ve had all along. there’s at least one of those three things that I can see Democrats refusing to have clarity on.

It’s the Democratic Party that’s losing elections, they continually refuse to listen and meaningfully deliver. The progressive surge is a direct result of this. If they leave any kind of a vacuum in terms of what people want and the GOP fills it in 2028, they will lose us another general election.

Why are people spending more I wonder? 😅 These guys are in big trouble, I follow a small account on YouTube that reads out responses from ex die-hard Trump followers to his posts. Very, very few are buying this narrative and are feeling insulted and furious.

Wasn't this exact thing why a significant chunk of voters went for Trump again according to post election polling? The Biden admin were unable to differentiate between the stock market and people's real world economic experiences

Also spent a good chunk of his time vilifying the US and the UK for supporting Ukraine, doggedly ignoring the Budapest Memorandum which Mogg brought up 3 times, and insisting US/UK are "at war" with Russia. Carlson sat opposite Putin, why didn't he ask him to leave Ukraine? It'd be over immediately

Lugh @tuathade.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
At one stage Mogg said to Carlson "you seem devoid of all nuance". But the kicker was Carlson trying to a) justify Germany starting WWII and b) vilifying Britain for getting involved

The Primaries were the time for this message. Can’t wait for Jill Stein to pop up in the general election again to be a vote splitter. Where has she been over the past two years with her outrage over everything the Trump admin has been doing? Gaza? We haven’t heard a word from her until now, gtfoh.

And why would Iran give Trump a chance to declare martial law and cancel elections that would render him toothless? They haven't made a dumb move yet. This show is wrong.

I was recently browsing all of Citi‘s stuff on Instagram (citibank) and they have a new podcast too. It looks like they are making a big push for rolling out Agentic AI. there were several Talking Heads in different clips speaking enthusiastically about it.

The movie “Promising Young Woman” borrowed the title from the judge describing Brock Turner as a “promising young man” and sentencing him to 6 months. promising young woman is an excellent movie but a tough watch in spots. Written and directed by Emerald Fennell. Centred around a campus SA aftermath

I remember reading a piece about this at the time, detailing other countries who'd done it. None of them had arrested a president before their 'first'. Nevertheless, they did find the courage to do it.

An outlier: they used AI to research and it hallucinated the answer with full confidence, as it tends to do.

No, this was backstage at the speeches before everyone went to the Capitol. You can see Trump there for a split second. During the Capitol riot he was in the WH. Not to defend anyone but it doesn't help the cause if info's not correct.
