A film screening next Sunday, April 5th, from 1 to 4pm “The Emperor’s Naked Army Marches On,” a 1987 documentary forces us to think and self-reflect about how we define activism, the pursuit of truths and justice, and how we attach (or don’t) legitimacy to certain tactics. Donations appreciated.

On this day in 1944, Leila Khaled, legendary Palestinian revolutionary, was born in Haifa. She is very ill and in the hospital right now. If you have time today, you should read some of her autobiography from 1973: My People Shall Live. Here’s a free PDF: ia601208.us.archive.org/1/items/MyPe...

These are targeted attacks in front of black-owned and Jewish-owned businesses in WeHo, queer populated areas with lots of foot traffic on the Russian refugee side of town. Even Block by Block ambassadors (petty cops) reported sw*ztikas west on SMB heading down towards the “Rainbow District.”🧵

We keep reading reports of ICE kidnappings of so-called US citizens to asylum seekers. Organize and defend your neighbors next to you.

I know this crosswalk intimately. Too many drivers ignore the blinking light and keep going without even slowing down. I’ve been almost hit so many times. Pedestrians are at the mercy of cars/drivers. This is wrong. @anniejump.bsky.social herself has brought it to the City’s attention so many times.

Demand changes to your city streets. The design of these streets are to isolate each of us, and to feel the only way to be outside is in your own personal climate-controled tank. Demand road blocks and obstacles that make driver anxious. Drivers should be anxious, not pedestrians.

A raised Crosswalk designed as a speed bump drivers where must slow down and designates a specific area for pedestrians to cross the street.

2 car lanes w zig zag lines on outlining each lane. This design creates anxiety in drivers visually signalling to slow tf down.

Liberation from constrictive gender roles is for everybody. Everyone benefits from it. Trans and queer people have no choice but to be on the front lines, but all of us should be there together. This is not just about protecting "minorities." It's about freedom for all, in every aspect of life. 🏴
