Thanks, Claude. Here's a version with better resolution, courtesy of your current show at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.

This vintage Seamaster quartz has been my favorite since I spotted it in a pawn shop five years ago. Wave styling repeats on the back, emblazoned with a seahorse in the center.

Mad props to whomever made this
Joke photo substituting Trump and Musk into a sequence that showed Stalin propagandists erasing a disgraced ally from a photo, and so from official history.

Me: "Hey Tripadvisor, how should I spend a few free hours here in Norwalk, CT?" Tripadvisor: "Here's a page of fake reviews written by fake people having fake experiences. Enjoy."

I always get a kick out of this plaque at the Berkeley Repertory Theater. (Sound it out for full effect.)

For example, in "The Sower," there is a small bare branch on the trunk of the central tree that is so meticulously rendered in impasto that it is *three dimensional,* as I hope I captured here.

Seeing these canvases in person is a revelation. They glow. They shine. They *sparkle* with an inner light. The textures in the paint are a thing of wonder.

This piece, for example, absolutely astonishes. And since it's on loan from an unnamed private collection, chances are none of us mere mortals will ever see it again.

Ah, London, where I can view and appreciate statues of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as an American *without* feeling shame.

You know, I am as ferocious an advocate for climate action as any normal person, but I can't help but wonder if the choice of avatars among this esteemed group might be part of the problem in persuading normies to listen.

Then there's this bit. (Gee, wonder how THAT happened?)
NYT Clip: Mr. Biden’s presidency has some ominous echoes of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s later years in office, Mr. Wertheim noticed. In 1940 and 1941, the outbreak of World War II dominated national politics even though Roosevelt initially kept America out of the conflict. But Roosevelt gradually escalated U.S. involvement by serving as “the arsenal of democracy” — a phrase Mr. Biden invoked in an October speech making the case for arming Ukraine and Israel.

By 1943, the United States was at war on three continents.
