I'm going to get crucified for this (Tried to explain myself in the alt text as best as I could. I'm not that good at reviewing the games I play.)

Okay, let me explain. I'm not saying KH2 is bad, I just didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else did. The reason? The level design, the backtracking and the combat. KH2's level design is not very good imo and rarely takes advantage of the movement abilities the game gives you because of the hallway like corridors that plague most of the game's worlds, it's boring and uninspired. But despite how linear, less open and short the levels are, the backtracking is still a slog. You'd think that wouldn't be the case because of how short the levels are on the whole, yet to me, it's still a problem, especially during the world revisits. Those felt like padding to move the plot along rather then meaningful trecks. I would have preferred single world visits like in KH1. Now for the combat... It's alright. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't have as much fun with the general game play in comparison to later entries (DDD and 3). Maybe it was the feel of the game speed or lack of movement ability usage in combat but I felt like all I had to do to win was mash the attack button, use reflect and cure and the occasional thunder or fire attack which got boring after awhile. I will say, the story of KH2 is good, well written for what it is, and sets up the rest of the series very well. I just wish parts of the gameplay didn't have to suffer because of it.
